Not sustainable. It's trendsetting now and getting the media play he wants, but it's only a matter of time until kids start asking why he isn't doing that for them.....and there's no way he can keep that pace up for 20-30 kids per year with everything else he has going on running a program.

I mean its cute but its not why he's winning with recruits

He's winning because kids have seen his face plastered on their flat screens for the last 6 or 7 years. First as Andrew Luck's coach, then in the NFC Championship game for 3 straight years.

How many championships has the great Jim Harbaugh won.. He wears out his welcome everywhere he goes.. Lol

I think if he ever does win he will have to chill with the schtick it's definitely doing too much!

It's a good distraction from the fact that he'll be back in the NFL in about 2 years.

As novel amd "refreshing" as his methods might be, a sleep over with a recruit, a minor no less, is just creepy.

I'm not implying anything inappropriate, but quite frankly he dimishes his own brand by going to such and extreme to sway the opinion of a teenager.

It is a touch laughable at the lengths these grown men will go to earn the affection of a feckless youth.

If he keeps accepting commits and then dropping them later on like he has been, he may not be successful for long. Especially if he can't beat Urban and Dantonio. Also, like someone said above.. if he keeps doing it for some kids and not for others, they'll begin to ask why for him and not me, and he can't do it for every kid, every cycle.

Won't be long before he crashes and burns imo. Of course, he's an elite coach and he's still going to win. But he's going to put out bad feel for a lot of recruits and their families. Who knows how bad it could get.

Sounds like a man that doesn't give a **** anymore about what people think about him. Last guy I remember who was like that in college was Pete Carroll. Kids respond well to a guy who shows he can win and doesn't care about what people think about him. I believe the 15-19 year olds call it being.... 100.

If it produces results and isn't against the rules, then who cares what anyone else thinks.

yes, a bit disturbing..

Why would anyone want a coach to spend the night at their house. Is he asking to spend the night? That **** is weird. I commend him for doing everything he can to land a kid but if he's initiating the sleep overs then that's just strange
