Update on Ohio WR Jaylen Harris

- Ohio State, Michigan State, Alabama, Tennessee, Miami, and Georgia are the top six(no order)

- Academics are first on his list and he also wants to be in a place he feels comfortable in

- he talks to Coach Dugans a couple of times a week

- he's training in Miami for two weeks and he's going to visit the campus at that time( hopefully we can get him on campus twice )

- It meant a lot to him that not only did we offer him, but he was the first prospect to receive an offer from UM in Ohio

Cali DE DJ Johnson on getting a UM offer this week

- he was excited to get this offer

- Miami was one of his favorite schools for as long as he could remember(his favorite player ever is Sean Taylor)

- he's very familiar with our history and is going to take all 5 OV's before committing to a school

Sidenote: The writer said there was A LOT of potential with him in the comments section, said there is a lot of interest on his side and we could be a very serious contender for him. That was the first time he's said that about any prospect.

Update on Matt Landers

- Miami, Georgia, and Florida are the favorites

- Staff talks to him everyday and he loves how they talk to him like he's one of their own

- he's coming this summer For a OV

- the favorites aren't set in stone, he's also visiting Ole Miss, Auburn, and FSU this summer

Sidenote: I love that the staff is heavily recruiting him, prospects like him aren't grown on trees and the two major differences between him and Jaylen Harris(Both are 6'5)that I see on tape is that Matt is probably a legit 4.4 guy, Jaylen is probably around a high 4.5 and there's a 30 pound difference in weight between the two( Matt is 180, Jaylen is 210 ). IMO Matt Landers > Jaylen Harris but when it comes to recruiting I'm a greedy little ***** and want both

Update on Shawn Davis

- visited April 14th

- he talks to every coach, but mostly Rumph

- He loves how Coach Rumph keeps it real with him

- The team chemistry, the type of environment, the school, and a chance to play early are what he's looking for in a team

- Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and USC are also found on Davis' list of twenty BCS offers.

Update on Rodney Scott and Billy Gibson

- Both still solid as solid is. Billy did say he's going on his visits only because he's never been outside of FL. Rodney Scott improved his track time in the 300 meter hurdles from 42.62 seconds to 38.67 seconds

Per Scout:

Two Suitors Are Really Going All in for Scout 100 Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy - Miami - Scout
Jerry Juedy talks about UM vs. Alabama in recruiting (suck on that Newberg)

National Powers Are Heavily Pursuing Prized 2018 Miami Commit Daquris Wiggins - Miami - Scout

Miami Was a No-Brainer for 2017 Tailback - Miami - Scout
Bentavious Thompson talking about why UM was a no brainer

Who's Holding Down the Top Spot for Highly-Regarded Florida Athlete, Amari Carter? - Miami - Scout
Amari Carter talking about his favorite schools and who holds the number 1 spot

Two Suitors Are Soaking up the Attention of 2018 Four-Star ILB Donovan Georges - Miami - Scout

Other news:

- Louisiana 4* Todd Harris will visit UM in the summer

- Juwan Burgess released a Top 5 via Twitter consisting of UM, Kentucky, UF, Ohio State, and Tennessee(**** you Tennessee)

Great job once again OP. Gotta watch Landers tape because I'm a star junkie and I usually air on the high rating before watching film. But now I'll check them both.

I did check his other outdoor events this year. His best 110 mm hurdle time has been a 15.66, which is unfortunately iffy for a top sprinter :(.

Not really his event.

Kameron Davis is Southridge's top 110m hurdler, and scott beat him in 330m by placing in 2nd at regions with Davis finishing at 5th. Davis finished 2nd at the 110m.

If academics really meant anything to Jaylen Harris, Bama and Tennessee would not be on his list yo.

Zbrod 95 thanks for the MD gift, I'll share this with the wife :). Happy MD to Mrs. Zbrod (if exist) and Momma Z.

Great news on Matt Landers. Want him, Kane and Big NT Scott (I think is the name) from Pinellas County. Headed to Ft. DeSoto over in St. Pete today maybe I can stop in on him and get a commitment.

My unsub profile of Shawn Davis puzzles me because he has familiarity with the U, being heavily recruited by local team and has friends already committed. Yet he has not committed himself? Which leads me to believe that either someone close to him (mother/father) influencing him to go elsewhere or he is too close to staff and friends to tell them that he wants to go elsewhere. I want bad!

Rodney Scott not concerned about. Fast enough and can catch a gnat in gale force winds. Best hands in the business.

I don't care if we have to provide Daquris Wiggins an armed escort to keep recruiters away, he's the best Cane WR commit since Andre Johnson. Under no circumstances can we lose this kid.

Juwan Burgess is the speedy multi-skilled athlete Miami was always known for. Plus we need a big time get from Tampa to re-establish our presence here.

Lastly, hats off to the staff for doing such a fine job of scouting and getting these kids seriously considering us again. It's starting!!

Gotta start winning and that will almost keep Bama from scooping top recruits out our backyard. They seems to be in on everyone we are recruiting.

Small little tidbit on Jeudy:

In the video when the Scout Reporter asked Jeudy who was recruiting him the hardest, he immediately responded Miami and nothing else, until the Scout Reporter asked him for his number 2, which he thought of for a while before saying Bama.

Sounds to me like Miami is putting in the most work here.

And fans showing up to games. I live in central Florida and I have season tickets. We've got to support our team more than car decals and mouse pads. Love this site and I hope we can all chop it up in person during the season.

yup, that's why I called bull**** when Newberg said FSU's biggest competition is Bama...FSU isn't even in it, he just visited twice in a month...how many times has he been on our campus?? A LOT more. UM and Bama have been running away with it for months with Tennessee trying to catch up but they're running like a fat asthmatic who has diabetes.

Finally, someone who gets it. Stars do matter because basically they reflect the cocensus of all of the staffs.

Junior Season Highlights - Matt Landers highlights - Hudl - Matt Landers
34 rec, 1038 yards, 15 TD's

Jaylen Harris #5 - Jaylen Harris highlights - Hudl - Jaylen Harris
Can't find stats

Jaylen is more polished than Matt because he separates better and has more strength but both need to improve on route running. I actually think Matt's separation will improve when he gains more strength, he's wiry in body type but so was AJ Green and he's CMR's best receiver he's coached.

Shawn Davis wants to be a Cane. The hold up has been his mom coming to visit with him, but word around is she wants him to leave Miami or go OOS for college.....with Rumph putting in work, we will see
