Can't believe it's already baseball time again. Feels like not that long ago the Gainesville regional opened up for the taking... for USF. But a new season always brings fresh optimism and hope. Looking forward to chatting with everybody throughout the season and hopefully into Omaha. Cheers!

What’s the general consensus on this years team? Saw they were only ranked 25th which seems a lot lower than most years. Young team?

Seems about right with where we’ve been the last few years. Pitching overall could be anywhere from above average to elite. In theory we lost a lot in the lineup but hopefully it’s one of those situations where a bit of dead weight is gone and the bats actually are stronger than in recent years. We had a lot of guys leave that had not really gotten any better since their freshman year. So this year should give us a pretty good indication if that’s a player development issue within the program or if that group just couldn’t cut it for whatever reason. I like Kayfus and Yoyo to have big years, not exactly going out on a limb there I know.
