Yes but not so sure I feel the same knowing D No No is on staff and we got an OC who gets too cute with play calling.... Our head coach is elite in the making.....our coordinators are average on their best day

My brother please lets not take out our anger and frustrations out on each other....if you dont see that our coordinators are average you need to take your glasses off. I, like many on here, have full confidence in the Don...He has done a wonderful job here. I trust he will make the necessary decisions moving forward.

In the mean time, I know its early but have a drink on me.....:crownpour:

Outside of folding late in the 2nd half (& obviously the Duke injury), I thought we played pretty well..
 
I disagree. WInston gave us 1 TD late in 2nd, O'Leary was wide open and he just made a bad throw. FSU went conservative in the 4th which made the score a little more respectable than it would have. Game could easily been 56 - 10. Missed field goal. We still have a long way to go unfortunately. Need Help on both lines, a new QB and more depth for sure. Unfortunately, with FSU being the hot ticket, they will finish real sting in recruiting. We need to step it up. Golden has kept our head above water during the scandal era, now time for an overhaul with the coaching staff. Just trying to be honest.

Good posts. This is probably too late for a lot of you idiots but I for one will always love this group of players. Will always remember them fondly when I think back to this team. When they come back to the U and are on the sidelines during a future game the future Canes should realize they are standing near greatness. Not because of their talent but because of their loyalty and the love of the U. They stood with the U during the worst of times.. Will always love these kids. My wish is that most of you would remember that before ripping these kids. We are not back but it won't be long. They stood with the U and should never be forgotten and should always be respected.

Wow, did we watch the same game. We are son close the Noles can taste it. By half-time they were on verge of typical FSU panic mode. We needed that first drive of 2nd half and didn't get it. One TD Coley dropped and another Morris underthrew for deep pick. AQM missed big sack. A couple plays and this game goes the other way. Is FSU better right now, yeah. Did Jimbo out coach us on that screen pass for TD- Yes. But Famous got nervous for the first time. He got fooled and did not like it. Nest year these guys belong to us. This is their last chance.

I was on cruise ship in casino watching the game with a ton of Noles there. At half, they were all downing drinks. Older ones like me were in hush mummers wondering why again. I am telling you we were almost there. FSU had free reign on recruiting while NCAA tied us in knots and it show in their depth. If Golden is the man we all think he is, then we have to trust in his staff. He picked them. Remember he took Jed from nowhere and two years later NFL steals him. NFL in two years. I say Golden has the eye. Coley has to improve sure, but he will. In the meantime him and Hurlie are beasts at recruiting and nothing in college is more important. 2014 class looks super. Golden is going to be filling in cracks but these kids gave all and I for one would not trade them. Coley was the best WR on the field, Duke was best RB on field, Olines were about equal. Hearns burn their secondary twice and Coley would have left them in tears will a second hand on one ball and a little more distance from Morris on another. D line still need improvement but it is much improved and a lot of help in on the way.

Funny thing about "process" is that suddenly you reach a point and the difference is huge. We are not there yet, but a **** of a lot closer than it appears. Three plays--sack by AQM and two TD passes to Coley and we could be talking about another wide right today.

Yeah, but the same way they went conservative, we went super aggressive and left points on the field in order to get back into the game......
Winston gave us a TD, but Morris gave one back on that pick by PJ, and that early whistle on Duke was BS also.....
We still get beat handily but it could have been closer just as easily as it could have gone the other way.

See Im somewhere in the middle with this. We are getting closer, but even next year they are gonna be better, but at least we will belong on the same field. Yeah we missed some plays, but so did they, and at the end of the night they made way more plays than us.
