Tennessee has offered the Vols head coaching job to Mike Gundy, a source told CBS this morning.

Why does Mike Gundy leave his alma mater, Oklahoma State University? If it is about $$$, it shows he lacks loyalty and respect to OSU.

I don't pay a ton of attention to the coaching stuff at this time of year, but I thought I read somewhere that he was ****ed at OSU AD or admin.

This. History and loyalty went out the window long ago and is only being left further behind with the formation of these super conferences. It's all about money for everyone.
 
Gundy was ****ed about his contract last year (rightfully so, IMO) and it took them awhile to clear it up. Negotiations weren't pretty. So he got taken care of but there is some thought that there might be lingering hostility. This would be a pretty huge middle finger.
 
The Tennessee coaching search is the worst coaching search of all time. Reminds me of when Shannon was trying to find an OC..

Nothing shows a program what is really though of it like a coaching search.

Word is that Strong has said no thanks too.

I guess Fedora is next on the list.

The sports station here keeps mentioning Golden every day as a possible hire at UT.

Yeah, and I just heard this morning that Fedora has now decided to stay at UNC.

The media here is beside themselves trying to figure out why nobody wants that dumpster fire job. It's quite funny, really!!
