Recruiting is changing. Portal as important but Dabo not getting the message

I was about to say... I believe that he is a great recruiter and will do well here but cmon... None of our targets knew who he was until the other day.

This Miami offer has has to be as a Preferred Walk On. Miami should never be offer Tulane or Marshall caliber players , especially under Mario in 2024 when he is supposedly taking on DT recruiting personally.

Guidry still thinks he is Walmart shopping with a green dot card, despite being given a UM Amex Blackcard. His scope of recruits will change quickly I hope.

Come on man. That's not an apples to apples comparison. Moss signed with Notre Dame and FSU first. He ended up at Marshall because he had no choice.

Cardentey doesn't even have a recruiting profile anywhere. He's not even in diamond in the rough territory. He's barely cubic zirconia. He'll end up at Marshall if he's lucky.

Guidry might end up a good recruiter, but it would've been nice if his first offer as defensive coordinator at Miami had been to someone a little more important.

How many of our grade casualty recruits ended up at Marshall? I don't think the number is insignificant. Marshall recruits a bunch of kids with iffy/bad grades so all I'm saying is just because Marshall is recruiting them doesn't mean they're a low G5 recruit. There could be more to the story.

Tulane had several players last year Miami would have been happy / lucky to have and all these Tulane recruits that don’t belong here would have beaten us by 40 last year….js.

We don’t need to Al Golden and fill our entire roster with Tulane 2 and 3 stars, BUT they get about 2-3 under the radar Louisiana studs each year who we should be after.

This is not the same at all. Players that only Marshall and similar are recruiting are not automatically bumped up because they also get good players with terrible grades. Completely different situations.
