I don’t like the thread personally but Maude’s generally delete and sometimes infract for homophobic insults. It’s not a matter of whether we agree or disagree with the sentiment behind your response but @AtlAtty is correct in that it’s against the rules if we’re going by the book.

Actually, they're complaining even more. I guess not seeing the warning directly over the offending post has made people complacent.

I get what you're saying, but the very first post in this thread is someone directly insulting OP. Followed by other direct insults and what could be deemed homophobic, but those aren't deleted.

Again I'm not complaing or implying people should be infracted or banned for that, but in my opinion what I said was tame in comparison. I get maudes don't see everything but it can come off very selective when one comment like mine gets picked out when there's plenty to pick from the very first post to the bottom of the page.

Edit: I just saw JDs comment and maybe it's because we don't see people getting warned with an indicator

We’ve been trying to keep people on the board and not toss them but as usual, any leniency here is interpreted as weakness because a good chunk of the posters here have terrorist mindsets and they only understand ruthless force. SMH

First, why do we need to comment on everything that happens in sports? Why does OP even have an opinion on this?
Freedom of speech also includes the freedom not to express an opinion. Dell’s injury and Stroud’s reaction has nothing to do with any of us, and nothing to do with the Canes.

Second, nothing in this conversation should invite homophobic comments. Men crying is not a homosexual attribute.

I made the same decision not to delete the thread. As we have discussed in our top secret, deep state Maude meetings (every other Thursday at 4:20 pm for the uninitiated at a pizzeria in Washington DC), people have the right to create topics or posts which are blasted by the CIS community. That is free speech. We will not protect posters from being taken apart so long as certain lines are not crossed.

OP opened himself up to being blasted. He is an adult and has to live with it. We will not protect him as he made a choice. But we will monitor this thread and all threads for comments or posts that we feel cross a line and take us into unproductive territory.
