Is it me or this stat is sooooo misleading. Apparently, he is leading the team in tackles, but after re-watching the games, this dude has no penetration at the point of attack. He is slow *** **** and not instinctive at all., He has gained over 35+lbs since getting here and the injuries has taken a toll on him. I feel like im taking Crazy pills here guys. The question is, how many TFL does he have? ughhhhhh,, i m just frustrated at this dam Defense that i don't know what else to say "dam gummit" ..

Green is about 6th in line of my defensive concerns. Look at this weeks linebackers and DTs :(

Green is playing the 2 gap scheme very well. About as well as anyone could play. In a 2 gap scheme your end or NT's should never lead the team in tackles. It is amazing and sad at the same time that he leads the team.

In the scheme that coach D'O uses the LB's and safeties should be our leading tacklers.

At least he's stayed healthy up to now, and is not getting completely blown off the point of attack. He's having as good a season as we could have expected so far. And hey, maybe he develops a little, gets stronger, and leaves us with one less thing to worry about.

Regardless of scheme, your Defensive Lineman should almost never lead the team in total tackles. Generally it will be a LB or Safety.

However, what you look for in terms of an impact DL are TFL, Sacks, QB Pressures, Pass Broken Up, and QB Hurries. An all-star DE or DL should average about 15 TFL and around 7-10 sacks over a college season.

What is really concerning is that a DE is leading the team in tackles with 23 yet only 1.5 of those are behind the line of scrimmage. He might be leading team in tackles but he is essentially having almost 0 positive IMPACT on the defense.

Look for Bush to grow even more comfortable in the scheme this weekend. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he has double diget tackles on Saturday.

Golden commented on the fact Green is leading the team in tackles, but that it wasn't really a good thing.

He should have at least 2 more TFL and a sack after last week. He missed 2 easy ones, got there but couldn't finish.

Green has been just ok this year, not sure I expected more.

people fail to realize that before this season he had only played in 6 games. yes this is his 4th year here but he's learning the game just like all of the other kids who haven't played much before. when curtis porter comes back, each & every d-lineman will drastically improve. we will then see the team's true talent shine. obviously the coaches see something in him to continue starting him & playing a significant amount of snaps. i'm not saying he's a beast by any means but if he stays healthy, he has potential to improve into a good/hopefully great player. i think golden's comment about it not being a good thing that he leads the team in tackles is directed towards the fact that other guys should/need to step up & become the leader in tackles.
