Barry jackson had in the herald that gilbert is healthy and can play but coaches feel green is better.

Why the **** did they want him if they wasn't going to play him? These guys are ******* slow.

wow really? I always figured that gilbert wasn't 100%. Whenever I see him out there he seems to have a nose for the ball. I can't imagine he's worse than Green or Chick. Chick has been godawful by the way.

Green is loyal, put in work, stayed for 6 years. Golden's loyal (cough, cough, Dorito, cough, cough). It will be his undoing. Biggest mistake was making Morris and Green captains.

There's been a lot of questionable decisions as far as who plays and who sits. Golden is to loyal to these players, he preaches we need to make changes and get it fixed, players are not doing their assignments. Yet he rolls out the same players every game expecting different results. The exact definition of insanity. All season I have not seen one player benched. I see coaches of other teams benching players for running wrong routes, penalties, etc...but Golden he continues to let them play. The players don't respect him or No D, because they know they won't do ish to them. Just look at the players demeanor on the sidelines, it's like they don't give a ****. I hear former players talk about how they were so afraid to mess up or get hurt because it was somebody ready to take they spot. Granted we are not as deeply talented as those teams but **** I would rather mess up with freshmen than with juniors and seniors. Look how it's help Stacy Coley and help Bush and Jenkins, bout time to stop caring bout these players feelings and bench them if they not producing.

All other things aside, depth is a great reason to bring somebody like him in. There's nothing wrong with bringing him in. Come on now

Green is so good that he's getting about 85 percent of the snaps (sarcasm). Dude has 3 career sacks and he's been in the starting lineup for two years. Is crazy when I hear people say that he's a solid player.

Exact quote from the Herald:

By the way, defensive end David Gilbert, who was honorable mention Big 10 and a very good starter on a solid Wisconsin team last season, continues to receive limited playing time. Gilbert, who has a history of foot problems, is healthy enough to play, but UM coaches believe Green is the better player. And in fairness to Green, he had been one of UM’s best defenders before November.
