I was at that UF game in Gainesville in 2002......

I remember after the game my wife & her girlfriend got separated from us and when they got back to the tailgate they told us that someone had thrown a avocado at them........ She thought it was pretty rude of the UF fans to do something like that seeing that her & her girlfriend thanked all of them on the way back to the car for letting the Canes practice on their field!!!!!

Love my wife........

Thanks for finding that one, the significance of the final TD by Bain was it covered the spread which was 6 1/2 so it was a double hit to the gators and their miserable fans. That was another game where I was glad to be in attendance.

I love ST effortlessly catching up and then peels back to clean it up (he's GOTTA hit somebody) and Mo placing the ball just inside the goal line as a really nice incidental eff you to cap it off. One of my favorite all time dagger in the heart plays.
 
The 84 game ranks up there with Wide Rights for the greatest because of the whole "so you thought you actually beat us" moments. I remember the swamp scum where actually carrying Pell on their shoulders as Bernie started us down the field. God I miss the 80's. There were some players on the field in that 87 game. Swamp scum had a couple 1st round safeties I think, but we had the Blades brothers. Easy to forget how great Bratton was because the knee injury cut his NFL career out from under him. I have heard the old boys say he was the best athelete ever at THE U. But Duke throws a better pass. FSU had some players that year too. And we beat them both most of the time, no wonder everybody hates us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bama may rosey red a............ Not even close.

The '84 game had one of the original "drives" in UM history. Everyone thinks of Dorsey against FSU when they hear "drive" but Kosar had the drive against FSU in '83 and the drive against UF in '84.
 
The 84 Drive was by far the greatest drive in Canes history going 72 yards in 28 seconds to rip the heart out of your main rival beats any other by a mile.

Epic stuff.

The funny thing is everyone gives us crap for having a stadium full of Gaytors or Noles at home. Listen to the crowd in that video after Florida scores and compare the crowd noise to when we score. Lots of Gaytors in the stands that night at the OB....

Great event of that night was Canes fans serenading Charlie Pell as the clock wound down.

That game was played in Tampa at the Bucs stadium. It was a "home" game for Miami, but mostly UF fans.
