Grantham to join Petrino in Louisville

We really don't have too many bonafide excuses for the 2014 UL game.

(doresn't mean we won't have every excuse under the sun, though)

I think he knew he was going to be canned soon and therefore can save face

next year would have been his last in Athens.. they have fielded terrible defenses in his last 2 years and there was talk about letting him go this offseason

Then Coley and our talent on offense should be able to not go 3 and out every posession!

Georgia's "Terrible Defense" under him the last two years takes on a whole new meaning when compared to Dorito's. If we played UGA's schedule, can you even imagine the stats?

Yardage couldn't be much worse, because every game would be like FSU, where they score a TD on EVERY drive for the first three quarters and then sit on the ball.

Seriously. When UNC, WF, Duke and GT *** rape you, USC, LSU and the like double dog *** rape you.

I'd take him, and give Dorito to UL for the Labor Day opener, THAT is for sure.

Grantham is not a good DC. Just so happens anyone would be better than Miami's DC but that doesn't make Grantham some amazing defensive coordinator.

The heat was on in Athens and Louisville bumped his salary from 850,000 to 1 mill a year. Plus a 5-yr deal . . . Louisville is acting SECish - two scandal-ridden coaches in Petrino and Pitino, hanging on to Hurtt, minimal academic standards. Paying Petrino (3.5 mill) and Grantham (1 mill) is likely more than Al and our staff combined.

It was a smart move by Grantham, probably knew he would be scape goated by Richt if they struggle at the beginning of next year so Richt can keep his job.

Yeah, they don't exactly fit my mental picture of the ACC.
