2017 #Miami target Antwan Collier says he would commit if #Canes offered & he would love to play with @BandyTrajan

Get this kid in the Class and go after Henderson and Edwards

You want to offer because he said he'd accept? Why jump the gun? It's not like marquee programs are knocking his door down.

Anyway, even if we offered and he committed if he gets some other major offers after he commits he'll start playing those bullshyt "I'm committed to Miami, but it's a tepid commitment of 72.78%" games.

This **** is meaningless until Rick gets a chance to pop those loafers off and play Al B Sure to the recruits' moms.

Banda is recruiting, so I don't think we have much to worry about with him...

Pete said, they're just waiting to see how things play out with a few other prospects before they offer, but when it's all said & done, I think he'll be in this class regardless of who else we get (or don't get) at CB.

Although, he's being recruited more so as a Safety right now, but I think he can play both.

It seems like Banda is recruiting almost everyone at safety which is supposedly why Edwards walked away. We need some CB's bad who can cover without having to play 10 yards off the ball. Who are the 100% pure CB only guys that we are recruiting or are we going to play with 4 safeties all the time?

Banda basically has to do two jobs, he has to recruit Safety's & pickup Rumph's slack, so CB recruiting shouldn't actually be his responsibility.

The other CB's they're recruiting they're keeping it under the radar because they don't want to alert the current schools those prospects are committed to, which speaks volumes about our CB recruiting...

Other than that, they still feel confident they can get both Edwards & CJ back, personally I think we have a much better shot with Edwards than we do with CJ, but we'll see come NSD.

We still need to land a JUCO CB & look for a Grad Transfer to come in by the Spring, because we'll be extremely inexperienced next year regardless of who we finish with come NSD.

I think we're not going to see much movement in CB recruiting til' late December- January.

starting like our chances with Hendson. We def need a juco

I want to like our chances with CJ & I hope we get him back, I absolutely want him in this class...

But, I'm not falling for it with this kid...

If he ends up signing with us come NSD then great, but I'll believe it when I see it & until proven otherwise he's a Gaytor to me.

LMAO with the rumph hate again
I'm not hating on Rumph... It's the truth.

Look at our CB recruiting, do you think that's a good job? Take Rumph out of the equation, let's put our same CB class on another team, would you look at that class as something to be impressed by?

I want him to succeed here just as much as anyone, but thus far he hasn't gotten the job done as a recruiter.
He's a good Coach though & I know a lot of the younger class recruits love him...

Telling the truth is now hating. Ice caught a ton of **** on here but at least he could recruit his old HS fairly well.

This dude Rum is a comedy of errors. Might be the first guy in the history of college football hired from a HS who missed on everyone from that school. And that school was loaded with high end prospects.

It's a shame we have our weakest recruiter at our weakest position. No necessarily ideal.

Truth be told Chise, I didn't even care that he missed on all those AH kids, the only one I want from that team is Tyson Campbell.

He coached Campbell since he was a little kid & Campbell said Rumph was like a father to him, I don't think there's another Coach that knows him better than Rumph, which means if he can't land him in the 2018 class then that says everything we need to know.

We've got Deejay Dallas and Trajan Bandy commited our class is actually good, if we land another top notch cb that's actually a nice class

Deejay's not a true CB, he'd actually be better on the Offensive side of the ball, but we have no other choice but to play him at CB.
I'm fine with that, because I think he's a really great athlete & will excel at whatever position he plays.

& not to nitpick over it, but Deejay was recruited by Richt... He was Richt's get at UGA & he loved CMR so much that he basically followed him wherever he was going to go.

Look, I like Rumph and what's so funny about the discussion is, I used to defend Rumph a lot on here, so I'm not just some unreasonable hater looking to bash him... I'm simply calling it as I see it...

As of right now idk how anyone can say he's done a good job as a recruiter...
But, like I said, he's a good coach & done a great job developing Malek Young.

I never wanted Marco, I was one of the few on here that was talking people off the ledge after this board went into a full meltdown when he didn't commit to us lol.

But, he did drop the ball with CJ & I'm fully aware of the dynamics of his dad & Shannon being close, but that shouldn't matter for a kid who's literally on campus almost as much as our actual players. The kid has visited practice & come to Miami at least over 20 times since Junior Day back in February... It's Rumph's job to get his Dad on board despite whatever relationship he has with Shannon.

Also, I consider kids Shaun Wade, Shawn Davis & Brad Stewart misses not neceassilry because we had a shot with them, but mainly because we didn't... Point being, a good recruiter puts us in position to land kids that we otherwise wouldn't.

Plus, just look at the CB's in 2017 not just in Fla either, a lot of kids are committing to schools that are not "hometown" favs, so that means they're being sold on an out of state program & they're buying it.

I don't hold him to an impossible standard, I fully understand how it goes in recruiting, I'm not expecting him to land every single kid & don't hold it against him if doesn't... But, even with the lowest standard set possible, we're still struggling getting CB's.

I think the CB class will look much better come NSD, so I'm not saying the sky is falling, I'm just saying it's not as good as it could be & it needs to improve.

Are you saying he is going to hit 100% on every recruiting target?

We could use a few kids from that AH team not just Campbell. Burns looks like a natural pass rushing DE, and we need corners badly. Wilson would have been a good add. Not to mention, we could use an OL too.
