Gore and the future backfield

Gore playing for Richt and Brown wouldn't be fair to other teams. Saban and Baga would have the NCAA put a 10-penalty handicap on our team, and staff the refs with an all-Ohio State crew.

3 whiffs and an NFL player out of that oline group. Coker had huge problems with balance. One or two years later we had a class with zero QB, RB, WR. LOL, that is almost impossible.

Frank Gore: “Got **** y’all ni**as big”. LMAO

This is coming from an NFL Hall of Fame Running back, 4th all time rushing (soon), who just a few days ago, had his NFL team on his back running for over 100 yds in blizzard conditions, in like ten feet of snow, in freezing weather. At 34 years old.

Let that sink in.

That shlt means something coming from him.

And they haven’t even started on the strength, nutrition and conditioning program yet. Let that sink in.

What's remarkable is that Gore has done this after his knee injuries. I think most everyone has said that Gore was the greatest running back to come out of Florida, hampered early by the injuries.

Gore had the greatest vision of any back I’ve ever seen along with Emmitt Smith. With the explosiveness of Barry Sanders. He was a beast who dominated Dade county in HS. Two knee injuries and to still have a career like his is insane.

What I try to tell people is if frank doesn’t tear his acl, perhaps no one hears of Willis. Then he tears it again. He could have been the goat. Barry is #1 , but **** Frank should have been.

Truth. Frank before injury was an alien

Frank is the greatest RB to ever come from SoFla and it ain't nowhere near being close. Willis is **** near like family, been knowing him personally for nearly my whole life. WTBS, I'd tell Willis to his face that he couldn't **** with Frank and he'd likely agree(in private at least). Ask anyone down here who can recall, the 2000 & 2001 RB classes in Dade were RIDICULOUS. I can name at least 20 tremendous backs between those 2 years and Frank was still head, shoulders & torso over em' all. No bull****, Frank Gore with no ACL tears would probably be the NFL's all-time leading rusher by now...

still remember Frank and D-Shep going back n forth . Darrel Shepherd was a legit back as well. Your not lying those years south florida was choc full of rbs and ...then there was..Frank. Like on another level. I was in the 9th and 10th grade...and every friday night we would watch to see if he hit 200 or 300 on channel 7.

I think Gore Jr should get a schollie just because, dont care if he could play a lick lmao.

Dude's 4th all time with three ACLs.

He'd likely be 1 if healthier. Also if he played behind Smith's OL, with those guys around him....

Still, Willis put up 8.5K yards in the nfl and he was never the same guy after his injury. Injuries happen, but his was really severe. Lost that burst explosion. Willis without that injury is much higher on the nfl list also.

What's probably the most amazing thing of all is that he ain't exactly gettin' it done behind five maulers in Indy and he's still producing at age 34...

I don't think Gore had much supporting talent at Gables either, correct?
They had the center Pou who ended up at UM, but other than him, not much else and he was producing
against very talented Miami High, Northwestern, etc teams.
Pou and Wollschlager were Coker’s line recruits that year IIRC.

They were part of the class of 2002, while Gore signed in 2001.

2001 OL signees:

Tony Tella
Robert Bergman
Rashad Butler
Randy Boxill

Looking back, Oline was the worst recruited position during the coker era.
Coker was a lazy recruiter and didn't evaluate. Kehoe's OL recruiting combined with Coker's lack of insight or care destroyed this program.

Exactly Prop Joe, I'm a 2001 grad so I definitely remember goin' at it with a lot of those guys. Shep was an absolute beast. 6'1" 215 and could fly. Dude had over 2 bands and 25 tds as a senior, literally one of the best backs in Dade history and he barely gets mentioned because he graduated in '01. That was an amazing year for RB's. You had dudes like Corey Kinsey(**** that cat was Mighty Mouse in the flesh) who was Shaun Shivers when Shaun Shivers was ****tin' in his Huggies. And none of em could **** with Frank...

There are a few backs that if you put them behind that Cowboys' OL would be top of the list. Easily the best run-blocking line I've ever seen.

This group will immediately end all redzone scoring issues... power run game is going to be unstoppable.
