1. How much does he make now?
2. What does he deserved to be paid? 3. How much will it take for him to stay put (if NFL/Texas) comes calling?
4. Does any coach turn down Texas or NFL?
5. What do we offer him at end of year?

He makes enough, we already extended his contract and he isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

3- Who knows, but I really think Golden loves Miami and it will take more than money to sway him, pretty sure only the NFL could sway him away.

Thank you. Any time we win a few games UM fans go into a panic. The Don has said it himself a few times--We haven't accomplished anything yet. Quit acting like amateurs every time we win a few games.

Golden isn't going to another college team. He is on mission here. Wife loves Miami; think about the hours he works and if you are married you know that wife gets plenty of say just to put up with that. NFL is a different matter but not until Al bring a NC or two. Worry about the Dolphins in a couple years after current losers get dumped-- then wife gets to stay and Al get another dynasty to restore, and in the process doing something JJ couldn't, replace Shula.

For now, let's enjoy this year's run for the title and have wet dreams about next year. Al has worked hard for this, I doubt he leaves with unfinished business.
 
Not a panic just curious, you are are out of your mind if you think because we offered him an extension or we havnt accomplished anything yet that means he isn't going anywhere, when that 4-5 million a year head coaching job at Texas is offered or NFL comes calling those, whatever contract he CURRENTLY has with his won't mean nada
 
Cool, so we're gonna lose Golden to Texas or the NFL next year. Guess we better enjoy this season.

Go wring your hands in the corner worrying about dumb sht you can't control. I'm going to enjoy the ride. When's the last time UM lost a HC to another school? Oh that's right you can't recall.

How about the agony of 10 years of no hope? Now we have a season to think about and this is what your Sunday morning brings up as if this is some new wow never been discussed crap?
 
we are 5-0, what more is there at this time? Some need to find doom and gloom. A while back, there are those who were questioning Al's ability to coach, now worrying about him leaving. people need to take their meds before posting.

2m isn't going to cut it. He does currently have the term, but not the salary. They prolly have to go to around 2.5 or maybe a bit more.
 
Not crazy to think he bolts for the NFL or even PSU should O'Brien leave for the NFL. People should be prepared for that. Don't delude yourselves, this is a job, nothing more.
