Painfully obvious. Doesn't matter if he scapegoats the entire defensive staff, he'll just hire more puppets. We were all duped.

This fool has turned us into Pedo State south.

I said it in the WEZ we've become Penn State South.. Zone defense, 9-3 with a soft schedule just good enough to stay relevant..
 
If he does not fire D'nofrio at seasons end, then he indeed is not the right man for the job!
 
Agreed. Completely lost faith in him today. Welcome to the hot seat. Petrino can be had or Petersen from Boise. We will keep this recruiting class together with an A class coach.

And frankly, I don't know why you'd want him. The offense isn't the problem.

Golden isn't going anywhere. Accept it and pray he makes some big changes soon.

Hes not going anywhere for a few years so no point in beating that horse to death. Just hope he recruits for the next dude whenever that will be.
 
I like Golden as a HC. He runs a good ship. He is not a good game day coach, that's why we need to hire elite coordinators.
 
I'm no fan of this Defense but right from the start it was obvious, that these guys are Dead Tired.... We either have no depth behind the starters or the coaches just don't trust the backups....

I disagree. I think we are actually playing too many guys. Having guys that only play on passing downs is stupid. This isn't the NFL. There was a play before the half where we brought our pass rushers in and they ran a draw, the guy went right by McCord who was looking to get upfield and rush the QB. Our pass rushers looked totally shocked that they ran the ball. Doubt they even get much practice against the run.
 
Duke is not a scrub team. I am upset too but if we can golden we loss a ton of top recruits. duke has higher star rated Srs and jrs than us but still
 
Sadly, I agree.

I know these boards are known for reactionary stupid knee jerk reactions...but what happened today and what is taking place in YEAR 3 is simply unacceptable. The games we've won have been against average to poor teams...and even in those games we struggled.

Honeymoon is over. As much as I like Golden as a person and a figurehead he simply isn't a good CEO...a good CEO surrounds himself with good, capable assistants. This is a horribly coached team and shows it pretty much every phase of the game.

If I see one more outside linebacker flexing out into space and being asked to cover a slot receiver.....or one more goal line situation where we have 2 deep safeties off the line of scrimmage....I'm going to go postal.
