I like when it's an OOS radio station usually ask some tougher questions.

- Could a player fresh off his playing career become coach of an NFL team? Maybe Peyton Manning but college football is completely different. There's fund raising, dealing with alumni and the many hats you have to wear.

- An instance of a hat he had to wear that was unexpected? Lawyer. He didn't expect to wear that one.

- Biggest thing to focus on when he took job? Moving forward and becoming own brand and style. Wanted to respect the past and appreciate past but represent the future.

- How much does Ryan Williams set him back? Disappointing. Ryan was having a great spring with a high completion percentage. Excellent recovery though. We need a guy to protect the football and manage the game. We have a great supporting cast.

- Time he felt most fear doing his job? The day he woke up when the story broke.

- Warren Sapp's comments and how does it affect him? Warren has been good to us and it's a family down here. Looks at it no different than a family arguing about what's best at the dinner table. Appreciates and respects opinions but is not worried about it or how he operates.

- Asked the best way to beat Florida State? Blitzing is not really a factor. Went on to say how they're a very talented team but never really answered the question.

- What are your expectations this season? Very mature team. Team is reborn every year. We have not had a lot of distractions off the field. We continue to be focused. Going to continue to get bigger and stronger. He's just excited overall especially for the defense because they have so much to prove.

-What's the most difficult part of the Miami job? He's just refreshed and energized now. Excited that he can now play on an even field without the sanctions, cloud and negativity. There are certain standards here at Miami and he wants to live up to it. Never really described the difficult aspect though.

Yawn. Did you listen to the interview?

Very few things in the interview to get emotional about either positively or negatively. Nothing that made me want to go start the tailgate early, but nothing really negative unless you are a ***** looking for something to complain about.

To the breakdown above --- I would add:
- he clearly indicated the defense has the most to prove and did not shy away from it
- FSU comment was in reference to how would he tell the fans out there in Oklahoma to beat FSU with the interviewer saying he did not expect much of an answer
- Golden said it was a great game to start the season and that FSU is very talented and shouldn't be bothered by the Dallas heat --- it was a coach speak answer - gave credit, did not provide bulletin board material, moved on
- As to the most difficult part of the job --- said he may sound tired on the call, but he is not, had a long weekend with the camps and is energized about the team
- In general praised the team, said every year the team is different, different leaders and that this team is mature and workmanlike.
