The announcers were saying during the game that Golden was calling plays....they showed him with a play sheet, and talking into the headset when we had the ball. Anyon know if this is accurate? I was surprised. Maybe he's as down on Fisch as many here are.

Yeah saw that too. There were more runs during that time too. Maybe he calls the first few plays then hands it over to fisch. We definitely ran the ball more to start the game than we did as the game progressed so maybe there is something to this?

I think they said he oversees the play calling.

IMO Fisch tends to get too pretty sometimes.

I only got to see the second half last night. IDK who was calling plays, but somebody was channeling their inner Andy Reid on that 3rd and 2 at the Nole 10 when Morris tossed it into the cheap seats and we settled for a FG to make it 16-13. Drove me crazy. I understand taking the three on 4th down. I don't get taking a shot on third down there at all. If you can't line up and run behind Henderson and Haggins and get two yards in two plays, well, fuggedaboutit. You get a first or better, then you have 3 more shots to get a TD. SMH. Anyway, guys played hard, I'm proud of them. Need more depp....

who called that dumb *** whipple play with the left tackle lined up by the sideline?? i remember that stupid **** whipple ran when we played OSU...

I liked the throwback to Morris. We needed something to happen. Nobody in the world thought it would be a throwback to Morris. The play had potential to be big, but unfortunately it wasn't.

I think he just said "Golden has final say".....which I'm sure he does.

I'd be surprised if this was the case. He may say he wants a run or pass in a certain situation but he isn't signing off on specific plays unless its some type of specialty play.

That play actually worked....isolated the WR 1 on 1 with the DB....of course Morris made a terrible pass that wasn't even close.

He's the head coach.......of course he has final say.

I guess the point is that he doesn't always use his authority to override Jedd's calls.

You have to understand, the HC isn't always an offensive guy or defensive guy (Has Golden ever called offensive plays in his life?). Most HC aren't micro-managing their OC and DCs on game days.

No, it was a stupid call. Your starting QB got off the bus in a boot and didnt practice all week...you dont throw a pass to him and expect him to run and then get tackled and take an unncessary hit.
