He seems very agitated. I hope it is because he is amped up and ready for the game and not because he is ****ed at what he just saw in practice.

seemed more as he didn't want to allow the team to look past NCstate .... understanding that this is a huge game and is trying to get them in gear to start the year 3-0 IN THE ACC

He WAS agitated. And at the end, some kid was crying and distracted him enough to look over there a few times.

Notre Dame will take care of itself IF we concentrate on NC State. Jump out the plane before you pull your chute.

I like when he's not happy

Makes me happy knowing we have a coach who simply doesn't settle for anything less than perfection.

Saban is never happy and Bama comes to play each week. Hopefully, this is Golden getting through to this team and keeping them grounded after a win.

I'd be disappointed as **** if this team is caught up in their recent press. I'd think, as a program, they'd know better by now.

Looks like he wasn't happy with the effort today.

Hurricanes coach Al Golden told reporters after Wednesday's practice his team’s energy “wasn’t good enough.”

Asked if it might be a byproduct of the team relaxing coming off a big win at Georgia Tech, Golden said: “I don’t really care because all I’m worried about is today, so it’s really important that our guys just get better today, everybody check the boxes today, attention to detail, and the rest of it will take care of itself.”

This is a very young staff. That GT win was probably the most exciting games in these guys careers in leadership coaching rolls.

There is a good chance that they are caught in the one game hypefest as well.

They have to learn to take a more business like approach and less celebration after a game like GT.

But they are learning as well as the players.

I trust Golden to make sure our team forgets about GT and is focused on NC St. He's not the type of coach to allow one game affect another game whether the previous game was a win or a loss.

I agree. But tell ya what... this program needed some energy in it and if that means the coaches occasionally get too high and too low... I'm ok with it.
This is the hardest working, most passionate staff we've had in awhile.

The full on celebration last Saturday was one of the most exciting things I've seen in my 20+ years of watching Miami football.

I hear what you're saying but these are college kids not pros. You have to allow the celebration of positive outcomes. I don't see any problem with the staff sharing in the enthusiasm.

They also have to set the example the next day of how you leave it behind you. Celebration over, time to work again. I think that's what this staff is about.
