Whatever the outcome on some of these last minute recruiting battles, you have to give Golden and staff props for sticking to their guns and showing the willingness to go to wire for what amounts to be about a third of their 2013 recruiting class. Typically schools hold out for a few guys on national signing day. To hold a third of your ships for 18 year old impressionable kids speaks volumes about the mindset of this coaching staff, not to mention the confidence they have in the product they are selling.
The staff is betting on South Florida kids eventually deciding to stay home and play in front of their families and friends. As much heat as they have taken from Ice & company for not repping local kids, they put alot at stake for these local kids. We will miss on some of these kids this cycle and their will be Monday morning QB's popping out of the woodwork. However, you don't win National Championships with half measures and I am glad this staff stuck to their guns.
