What's the current read right now during the Canes fall camp? We all know that this year the Coastal will be decided between Miami and North Carolina, with a possible surprise from a revamped Georgia Tech led by the overhaul of their defense. Of the 3 who will have the NASTIEST Defense because they all struggled last year.

The reason I ask this question is because, I don't know if you all realize this but, the ACC Coastal is relatively soft and slow. Miami has lacked for big time player-makers on D, hasn't had multiple hard-hitting LBs & DBs, and quite frankly haven't been feared for thier overall team speed and toughness for quite some time.

For those of you close to the program, what is your sense of where the defense is in terms of NASTINESS? I'm talking the same type of nastiness that characterizes Alabama, LSU and UFaggery? I'm hearing due to the influx of former SEC coaches now on staff in Tallahassee, the Noles are even getting a bit more aggressive and confrontational in practice...really taking their intensity to a whole other level.

Word is that Miami is about to look like 2001 Miami, but for those of you close to program.....on a scale to 1 to 10, how would you rate Miami's intensity and physicality in practice at this stage in the game? 1 being a team of v*****s and 10 being a team of Vilmas, Sapps, Lewises and Reeds!

GT before VT? VT's defense is supposed to be stout again this year. IF they can get a running game going with Thomas, Coleman and co. that'll be all they need to take the division again if Miami doesn't take the next step.

Go to the WEZ and start a thread asking RickDerris for some NASTY.

You might need to pull Jimbo's towel boys away from those confrontational practices to block your computer though.

******* obvious nole looking for info. get the **** out

Who cares if he's looking for info? If he is indeed a Nole looking for info then he should have just asked like an adult instead of pretending to be a Cane. That's ******* childish.

There was a good conversation that Killa started about match ups vs the Gaytors. OP, if you're a Nole fishing for information just ******* ask as a Nole instead of what appears to be a troll account.

Edit: if you're not a Nole, my bad for being a ****.

His other posts don't really seem like that of a troll.. Maybe just a fairweather fan and heard we could be good this year?

It's like in My Cousin Vinny when he thought he had to butter up opposing counsel for him to give over discovery.

I'm far from a troll. Don't be so paranoid or suspicious of someone who says a few innocuous words about a rival. In short, chillout.

I like read up on articles from around the league (ESPN's ACC Blog & ACCSports.com) and a wide-variety of ACC podcasts too. I know some of you are well aware how horrible we were last year on D. Pardon me for wanting to know that our guys are taking in Coach D's system in Year 3. Improvements will be made, yet with the influx of talent that is set to join us at that position this year, having the players absorb and adapt to the scheme will go a long way in making this a very special season for Miami.

I hear the LBs are stepping it up, Gaines, Figs and Denzel. The DBs are looking good too, especially Crawford and Howard. AQM is looking like a big-time stud, twitchy and all kinds of stuff.

But word hasn't come out as to the progress of the D-Line as an entire unit. Correct me if I'm wrong but no one is saying anything.

So if any of you know what's going.....share.

We pass the eyeball test.

It's not a coincidence that we started practice, then Driskell got a sore tummy, and gators are dropping like flies.
They know that in a short while they will be our prags.
