Overview

  • Biggest Recruiting Weekend EVER at Miami in the modern recruiting era (i.e. the era of rankings post 2000)
  • Geo expects the record breaking list to continue to grow
  • Geo expects surprise visitors (plural) this weekend
  • 2022 FSU was close, but 2024 has already surpassed it

Solomon Thomas

  • Gaby is a good reporter, if he's doubling/tripling down, he's got a source(s) telling him Thomas isn't coming. Geo respects him.
  • Geo's Jacksonville sources (not the Miami staff) tell him Thomas is visiting this weekend (Geo cited previous recruits with Jacksonville ties where he built up sources)

2026
  • ~50 blue chip recruits from 2026 visiting this weekend (bulk of the visitors)
  • 4 5*, couple border line 5*
  • More info on the 2026 class tomorrow

WR commit

  • Geo doesn't see an near term WR commit happening

Its interesting that On3 and Geo both say Thomas is coming and Gaby emphatically says he isn't. I don't think he's on the official visit list the school provides reporters. On3 said that spoke with Thomas and Geo said he spoke with Jacksonville sources. Make of that what you will but there's a battle of sources here and the Miami side (sources) are denying it.

On3 is saying he isn’t visiting anymore either as of 4:03pm today

There’s some language differences being used.

+ Geo is saying Thomas will be at the game. Of course he can, it’s a public event and he can get a ticket.
+ Gabby is saying Thomas will not be with recruits at the game. That is why he’s consistently staunch on that point.

We’ll find out both are correct on Saturday, Solomon will be at the game, but not in the recruit section.
 
One of the reasons I liked the first John Wick movie is he made sure every one of his opponents were dead. If he suspected they were still twitching he’d shoot them in the head again once or twice. We need to take that approach on Saturday night. Recruits need to leave the stadium in awe.

This makes zero sense. If he is going to the game he is going to take the free ticket(s).

I'm saying what makes no sense is if he is coming to the game why would he pay for a ticket when he can get one for free from UM.
