Game prep analysis: Luke Kuechly

Should have been a First Ballot Hall of Famer.

Best LB I've ever seen.
Better than Ray Lewis? I do agree with you 100% that he should be first ballot HOF.

Watching him play against us in 2011, I can understand why you feel he’s the best LB you ever saw. Dude pulled a Dalvin Cook and single handedly beat us. No answers for him.

He was severely under recruited out of high school

He talks about his path to bc and the league. I’ve spoken to a lot of parents about giving the kids realistic goals to keep them motivated.
This is why I always tell them to focus on the scholarship and not the nfl.

He literally says “I never thought I would be in the nfl”.

Now compare that to the sofla divas who keep hearing since pee wee that they are nfl bound. If they love the sport and have achievable goals, then it’s easier to keep them motivated.
Most kids now want instant gratification. For those lucky enough to get a blue chip rating and make it to college the dream isn’t only NFL but to make it there in 3 years.

For me, yes.

I'm a Panthers fan - the dude was unbelievable.

My favorite panther will always be Dan Morgan. If he doesn't get all those concussions he would have had a **** of a career.

Great choice obviously. Though Luke's career ended early for the same reason. Dan was mine until Greg came along.
#1Luke, #2 Greg, #3 Dan.

2003 was the 1st year I truly watch football for myself as a fan & that ride to the superbowl had me hooked. Dan's 19 total tackles against them cheating *** hoes in that game was him at his best on the biggest stage.

My favorite Panther. That Thanksgiving game he made Romo his ***** is probably my favorite single game performance as a fan
One of my favorite players of all-time, regardless of team. I loved the way he played the position.

I always gravitate to LBs and Edge guys because that's what i played and that's the tape i watched and got excited to break down and learn from. Non-Canes: Keuchly, Katzenmoyer (early in his OSU career-he ruined himself in the gym), Roquan Smith, Urlacher, Willis.

Watching the Phins draft Ginn and Tannehill right before Willis and Keuchly still haunts me...

That was the year I learned bpa in the 1st half of the draft is always the way to go outside of QB & OT.

We need guys like this.

We need football IQ. Brainpower.

Our staff is allergic to recruiting intelligence.

Quarterman, Perryman, Vilma, Williams, Morgan. All very smart. You can tell when they speak.

As a Panthers fan, what do you think of Jon Beason. He’s one of my favorite linebackers to come out of Miami. He may not have been as good as Ray Lewis or Kuechly, but he was right there up there with them. He was nasty and looked Canton bound until injuries derailed his career. His 1st 4 years were every bit as impressive as other dudes that are in the HOF.
