Game 26: 3/26/25 Stetson 11-2 L (14-12)

DiMare did Miami a huge favor by walking away and our AD royally ****ed up the replacement.

We went from worried we'd be stuck with DiMare and mediocrity and now I think we'd take that mediocrity back over this discount coupon bull**** program.

Kinda like when Richt walked away from the football team. There’s no way two different ADs do the same exact thing for two different, prestigious programs.

Do you all think he gets fired? I mean common sense says that he has to but does Rad even know we have a baseball team?

I’m on Team Pollard. They lost some key guys in portal, they are struggling a bit, and he’s probably perfect timing to get.

Rad made the exact same mistake that Blake James did when Mark Richt walked away: panicked and hired a guy who (1) was never ready for the role and (2) was either on the way somewhere else or was about to get ****canned (in JDs case).

One key point for the upcoming coaching search is that they must abide by one overarching rule: NO MIAMI GUYS. We should not be hiring anyone that has anything to do with the program or who has has anything to do with it going all the way back to Morris.

We need an external hire who has full reign to rebuild this thing top to bottom. Nobody on any of the last three staffs should be on staff.

FIRE RUDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRE DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the energy we need Marrero. But you forgot to add Fire JD!!!!!!

Rudy’s fat *** deserves the depths of the Everglades. That fat ***, last pick of kickball teams in elementary school now has “smartest guy in the room syndrome”. Get that fat **** as far away from the UM athletic program as fast as possible.

It’s disgusting what’s happened to the athletic programs at UM I grew up loving..

It is because it has always been higher up the food chain. It was the same with Mario. Just that many on this site like Mario, so the narrow, blind hiring was overlooked.

Such a disaster the leadership is at The U.

UCF coach is an alum there and will probably get a nice pay bump if they keep trending the way they have the rest of this year.

I dont know if they will ever be a routinely good football team but they def could become a yearly top 25 baseball program and a real problem.

I've beat the Scott Brown drum to death. The other guy I'd take but I dont think he'd leave is Mac from UVA. He is just as responsible for UVA's success as Connor. Kids will want to run through a wall for him.

I'd also approach Pollard again and tell him to convince Jordan to rejoin him.

And yet, just swept pre-season Top 10 UVA at their place.

Reason I don’t say Fire JD is because he accepted the job he was given. It is his fault we are what we are for the last two years. But we wouldn’t be in that spot if it wasn’t for the higher ups. The higher ups need the real Heat

This is the type of hire we need. Cain would be a great hire, so would Elander if we could pry him away from TN.
Nolan Cain I think was in our Twitter space last night, we were talking about coaches to hire, him, Elander, Joey Cora, Paco Figueroa and a few others. After that he followed me on instagram around 2am last night.

What is the likelihood that JD will be the coach next season?

i can confirm one name that has interest in our job @Canesfreak has seen it. Nolan Cain Texas Associate HC. I think he is eyeing our job

What worries me is the administration letting the program die on the vine if/when we end up in the Big Ten.

If the current coaching staff remains for another year or DanRad selects Arteaga's replacement based on budgetary concerns, there won't be any return to greatness for UM Baseball

Who was Ron Fraser before he coached us?

You need a person who knows baseball. A good coach. They are out there and you don’t have to break the bank. A lot of people being mentioned were nothing before their current jobs.

How about a motivator…look at our players during games it is a squad void of fire or desire. I just busted a rhyme.

Perhaps Rad needs to have limited input into the coaching hire.
I had this weekend as a road trip to go see two games in Chapel Hill and be on that 7 PM AA flight home on Saturday night. This team saved me the $$, and I will go fishing instead. My time will be better spent enjoying the Treasure Coast.

Instead of hiring someone with proven managerial success, or even a contributing part of an actively successful program...have we asked the boosters and big name alumni if they have any friends or relatives they want to gift the position to? So that one of the premiere baseball programs in the country can be reduced to a plaything for the connected? Like giving a child a choo-choo train.
