That’s a good thing because Terry is a freshman linebacker by way of Palm Beach Central High School whose modus operandi is to cause havoc.
“He’s our ball-disruption king,” said UM middle linebacker Denzel Perryman. “[Last week], he had eight sacks. In one practice.”
Coaches have noticed. In the two depth charts that have been released since fall practice began, Terry catapulted his way into a backup role at linebacker behind co-starters Thurston Armbrister and Eddie Johnson.

“He’s everything we thought he would be even though everybody thought we were crazy for taking him,” Golden said.
Ouch!

Crazy.

Most people had him penciled in for a RS because he was so raw. He has athleticism you just cant ignore though. Could be beastly.

anytime i see a kid was an outstanding wrestler it speaks to his physical ability. i also didnt realize that he was also a sprinter. a kid who can excel on the mat at his weight class and also be a good sprinter is indeed a unique physical combo to have. i remember seeing an interview with barrow on or just after signing day and he said that he thought terry was the most athletic kid in the class. im excited about the young LB core we have.

he could be a beast for the GT game...busting blocks etc....Nice story..GREAT POST:emotcanes:

Yeah he's an athlete for sure. I can't remember exactly what time he posted in the 100, but my I do remember my initial thought upon seeing it was "holy ****, that's a linebacker?" Mid 10's I believe. I hope he gets some quality PT this year and just wrecks ****.

I think it was 10.9, which is excellent for a high school LB with no college speed/weight training.

Yep, yep and yep.

Great points. Good post.

I hope he's a ******* wrecking ball on kickoffs. I miss the days when our special teams were glimpses of the future. Last year, we saw it with Perryman.

golden in same article about gabe coming in at 200lb

“There was a guy a named Ray Lewis a long time ago that played at that weight in his freshman year,” Golden said. “This guy flies around. I’m not worried about his weight. I’m just worried about whether or not he learns the defense and is where he needs to be and is reliable.”

to all the people that think golden will not offer grace or smaller lb because of weight.. golden gets it

Grace is a bit smaller. Grace will likely be 6' 1" 205ish or so when he steps foot on campus. I've repeated it, though: with his frame, Grace should be 220 by the time he's ever needed for significant playing time. DO NOT MISS ON GRACE or, in 5 years, we'll talk about his outstanding rookie season as a 3rd round pick of the Eagles.

there is one think that gabe and ray have in common outside of coming onto to campus on the lighter side, ray was also a stud on the wrestling mat. if terry turns out to be even 1/2 as good as ray ill be well beyond thrilled
