I think Frank Spaziani is the guy.

Always had tough Defenses but never ones that couldn't be scored on.

We'll already know he'll be a better DC than HC.

Good hire for them. I'm actually surprised Johnson made it through the end of the season without getting canned. I realize they were in the ACC title game, but everyone knows they had no business playing in that game.

Excellent DC, but his D will struggle there because they're practicing against the option all the time. Johnson keeps scapegoating DCs, but this will be his last one.

good hire

i guess. As another poster said GT will be doomed as long as Paul Johnson is at the helm. You cant practice against the option all the time and be ready for the spread. That option **** is ruining GT football program.

Uh, 1st team defenses don't usually go against 1st team O. Usually there is a scout team the runs the opposing teams offense.

Uh, Georgia Tech doesn't recruit spread or drop back passing offensive players and doesn't run either of those types of systems. One can readily observe that when one watches GT attempt to throw the football when GT falls behind. I highly doubt that their scout team is some highly evolved pro passing or spread offensive system capable of giving their D any good looks when their 1st team looks like fish out of water any time they have to throw the football.

Whats actually ruining their program is Johnson's lack of ability to recruit. Their talent on defense has dwindled more and more as opposing staffs are telling recruits exactly what Franchise said. Plus, Johnson isnt the most personable person in the world and has never been a great recruiter

This

Plus, while during the season, and particularly for game prep, the defense will face a scout team o, during spring football and fall camp, most teams often have their o and d facing each other

No way. Just hire a new DC. That solves everything.

When Miami is Miami, and I think AG has us on our way, it shouldn't matter if John Heisman is coaching them. We should beat them down.

Paul Johnson isnt getting fired. he has been to a bowl every year there, GT should be happy with this
