It's scary, but you don't really even need stats for this argument. Just turn on any game form the current season.

TBH, i really thought coming into this season. That our offense would be going ham like what were are seeing FSU do on a weekly basis. I thought our 3rd down efficiency would be much improved along with Morris consistency. Thought our defense would still be the major issue for being in tight games, or not in them at all.

Morris is really hurting this team. Maybe he's not getting Coleys system. Maybe he got the big head. Maybe he's trying to do too much.

Well imagine the difficulties we will have without our best player.

Why are there no threads about the offense?

The MAJOR issues are above. You want to win the next four games, fix the BULL SHlT above.

The problem can be narrowed down to interceptions and 3rd down conversion %.

Or more specifically, the QB.

Troubling to say the least Consigliere. These stats seem to raise the same questions that are being raised about the defense: talent vs. scheme/system. Are we still a year away from having the talent that we need and/or does Coach Coley need to make some significant changes to our offense. I would side with those who say both.

And before anyone asks, I'll say that I'd prefer us to be more of a power running team with play action mixed in, and I'd like to see us get away from coming to the line of scrimmage and then looking at the sideline to figure out what's going on in front of us. I would also start up the Gus Bus and ride him until the wheels fall off. What are we saving him for? And yes, I know we have no choice but to use him now.

How bad is the ACC that with our many shortcomings, we're still 7-1? LOL. It's been ugly, but I'll take it. Hope we can squeeze past VPI this weekend. Our toughest remaining regular season opponent /gulp/ is Duke. smh

This is pure agenda driven BULL SHlT. People should have issues with both the offense and defense. I automatically dismiss a porster if they complain solely about the defense.

I agree with the rest except that I think VT is a tougher game than Duke.

Maybe he is just not that good

Here is the bottom line, we're 7-1 and the first 8 games are over. How ever we got there is irrelevant, we must improve greatly in order to have success from here on out.

Morris needs to step up, he needs to play like the good Morris.

What is wrong with Morris playing the game manager role? Take what is given to you and run the ball. F$U played this way and I know we are not F$U talent wise but we can do this to an extent. All we need is 4 yards a play. I know Ryan Williams can do this but can Stephen? I'd love to see an attempt at something like this and maybe one shot deep in each half.

I'm guessing you're being sarcastic. If not re-read my post, as I do have an issue with how we're playing both on offense and defense. I believe that problem is a combination of talent and scheme.

Or maybe he's just not all that great and is the same guy he's always been. There's always a chance he'll have another hot streak like he did the last 4 games of last season where he boosted his numbers and looked like a guy who had started to turn the corner.

Morris looked fine with the 1st half play-calling. We gave him easy throws and we utilized the middle of the field. In the 2nd half we went back to our typical vertical attack and waddayaknow, he starts looking like trash.

I was agreeing with you except for the VT part.
