Reading a lot of posts about Donofrio. Why so little mention of Franklin being an issue? I remember this guy was not so highly thought of when brought on. The Dline is young but that is no excuse for the current state of affairs. Just throwing this out there to get everyone's thoughts on Franklin so far.

His résumé is impressive at first glance, but looks spotty under more scrutiny.
I'm skeptical, but I'll trust Golden. Jethro's very experienced, and he has an NFL pedigree. Plus Golden brought Jethro with him from Temple. Perhaps it was out of necessity, but nevertheless he did.
Golden says he wants to build a "powerful team", but we simply don't have powerful players up front right now. We have 12 first or second-year defensive linemen (and a couple of those guys were reaches simply to fill out the '11 class).
We simply don't have the brute strength and experience to be a good two-gap defense right now. We just gotta fight through it.
