Says the Alabama team that beat him last night is the best team he's EVER seen ALL TIME in his 26 years as a head coach. They go for their historic third national championship in a row.

I guess that would include the 2001 Hurricanes team, etc.

Personally, I think it's a load of horse ****.

Thoughts?

Beamer is done... He has zero offense, no ST. Def is better than I thought it should be. But that Alabama team didn't look like the Goat to me. He just talking down that loss.

When your Qb can't throw the ball in the correct zip code then the other team is always going to look good. To think some people were saying he would be first pick in draft.

Bama is very good, but I Beamer is old and memories fade. Clearly he has forgotten Dorsey's Canes teams. Plus, this Bama team showed a big weakness yesterday. Their Oline is not longer coached by Southland and is vulnerable. They can be beat--but it will not be easy. Saban gambles on Mario cause he needed SoFl recruiter to take Southland's place--might be his undoing.

Definitely not. I watched a lot of that game and I saw a few things.

1. The o-line isn't like last years o-line, but I do think they will get better as the year goes on. They lost studs to the NFL, and many of their o-lineman are first year starters, they will get it together.

2. The offense simply got dominated by Virginia Tech's defense. I think Alabama scored 2 of their 5 touchdowns on offense, which was only because they had short fields to work with. I mean Virginia Tech held Alabama to 200 yard and they punted 9 times. That's ridiculous considering Virginia Tech didn't produce one solid drive the whole game. The VT defense was literally playing the whole game, and Alabama could barely move the ball.

To me, they looked very beatable.

That looked like the "worst" Bama team in the last 3 years to me, they just had a great special teams day. If I'm an SEC D-coordinator, I'm bringing the heat like never before.

Beamer is a homo. He has a crush on Saben. Nothing to see here..... move along. Go Canes

That's a weak performance by Bama IMO. Their OL got pushed around and their offense did squat. Beamer trying to make the loss look better.

It's time for Beamer to step down. Dude is destroying what he built up there.

VT needs to step up and make a move towards getting a great HC before turkey neck pulls a Bobby, Joe Pa, Coker on em.

Solid defense, but ST, which is what they are known for gave up 14 pts last night.

Logan the worst QB in D1 gave them a gift wrapped TD.

VT with a revamped offense, solid ST, and that defense could have beaten a Bama team that looked avg.

My dad went to BAMA, and he went to the game.

He said that this Bama team is currently not close to the last two years - he said D is solid but not dominant and the O Line bad WR play poor.

He also says UM 2001 by far the best college team that he has ever seen including the great BAMA teams in the 60s and the 70s. (to paraphrase no one is close)

What else is Beamer going to say after 1 game? He's got a whole season to worry about. That being said Mike London has been eating his shorts recruiting in the Tidewater area so Tech fans better get used to winning 8 games a year.

The VT front 7 absolutely MAULED Bama. I mean destroyed them up front. This Bama team is very beatable. I'd be surprised if they win it all.

Let's keep in mind that Bama is not some unbeatable juggernaught. They lost games in both the last two championship years. In fact, in both years, they lost AT HOME in NOVEMBER. The fact that they turned those seasons into championships was pure luck based on what other teams did. How many college football seasons afford a team to lose at home in november and still get into the championship game? I'd be willing to bet that most seasons that's not a possibility. **** in 2000, we lost on the road, in the second week of the season and still got shut out of the big game.

His record is absolutely horrendous versus a top 5 opponent. VTs whole program was built from playing us well. If VT never played Miami, no one would know who they are.

I'm surprised he is still alive this morning or still a coach.

Thought he was going to have an aneurysm or go all Woody Hayes on that 2nd return touchdown.

When u get the best players every year with the best coach and keep filling trophy cases they will eventually start saying this. Im pretty sure if we 3 peat some on here would say that same ****. Just gotta wait and see what there nflers do and we can compare, but there rbs are on par with what came through here during that time. Yeldons gone then Henry than another than another.....if Saban stays it wil be the all time greatest run in cfb.
