Former Miami player waived as NBA teams trim down rosters

On Saturday, the NBA required teams to trim their rosters for the 2024 season down to just 18 players. It made for a busy week in the professional basketball world, and former Miami Hurricane Lonnie Walker was one of the players who received bad news. The Celtics waived Walker, who averaged 7.3 points in 16.4 minutes in the preseason.
