TeamRankings.com is the best imo, only includes FBS opponents in the data.

A few good ones that jumped out to me earlier. Our third down percentage will inevitably dip at some point, but we’re currently lapping the field there.

Don’t look hard yall then you’ll see our 193 rushing yard average per game at 5.9 yards a carry with 13 rushing TDs when CIS has convinced us the sky is falling and our run game is unacceptably in the *******.
If you look hard enough, you'll see our sub 4 ypc in the first half and our 7 ypc in the 2nd. There's alot of stats to prove both points. Our 2 tds in the 1st half vs 7 in the 2nd. Our 62 runs in 1st half vs over 100 in the 2nd.

I'm one of those guys, but my concerns are around consistency. Don't really give a **** as long as we win. I'm just of the belief that a consistent and efficient run game will make it easier on us. I'm even fine with 60% pass and 40% run like we've been. Gotta scheme it up better, block it better, and hit cut backs better

All fair points… I just haven’t been in panic mode about it. I guess because we haven’t “had to” run and haven’t been able to necessarily. Someone is going to scheme to take away the pass… if we can’t run then, I’ll be concerned more. I’m just not sure how realistic having a 330ish yard per game passer while having 250+ yards rushing against the teams we play. I don’t see enough shoot outs on the schedule to push us like that.

Show me the first half numbers. Bet it looks something like 3.3 yards per carry. The run game is in the ******* except when the 2nd and 3rd stringers are playing in the second half.

It’s not nearly as uncommon as a lot of fans want to believe. The point of a running game is to wear down defenses in the second half. Especially when the defenses have to tackle two 230lb running backs.

There’s definitely things we could be doing better but it’s pretty much common sense that the running game would perform better in the second half when A) defenses are tired and B) they’re overcompensating to stop the pass.

I'd really like us to use Lyle, AA, and CJ in the first half as they're more elusive and can create yards against a fresh defense. Then use Fletcher and Martinez in the 2nd to lean on defenses with their size.

I think it would do wonders for our run game ad the latter backs just don't have the wiggle to create much against a fresh defense.

I did the same analysis by RB by game, excluding qb scrambles (they matter but not for the point I'm trying to make). There was also an info graphic by qtr on how much we are running into stacked boxes. Not as much as you'd think based on people's opinions on this board.

The differences by half are attributable to being up big mostly in our first three games. You dig deeper into VT and you see it's qb scrambles in the 2nd half. And when we had success in the 3rd qtr, we weren't wham blocking. It was pulling and reverses.

We struggle with our rb run game due to 1. Scheme/predictability 2a . Effort/push 2b. Rbs missing lanes. In that order.

It hasn't prevented us from winning and our balance is about 60/40 (5% qb scrambles). If the pass is working, who cares. I'm hoping when we need the run, we figure it out. I think it will be needed eventually. With that said, my confidence isn't as high after watching the first 4 games several times. Hope I'm wrong

Not necessarily. You can use stats to **** near, say anything. It could mean that teams have taken the 8th man outta the box because Cam has over 200 1st half passing yards. It could mean that the other team s front 7 has worn down, and yes it could mean exactly what you said. Stats don’t always tell the whole story.

Why on earth are reserves playing the second half.
