I am currently sitting with my son, in Foreign Cinema on Mission St in the Mission District of SF. Can't go wrong here. Top of the line. We shared two appetizers, the focaccia bread with olives and baked cheese ( some French cheese) appetizer, both fantastic. For entrees, I had the curry fried chicken that was excellent and my son had the grilled pork chop, about 1 1/2" thick also excellent. They also have a top of the line bar.
See everyone at the game whose here.

Check out

L'Ardoise Bistro
Côte Ouest Bistro
Chez Maman East

3 outstanding spots in SF.

For a top notch bar in Berkeley, try Acme Bar & Academy on San Pablo. It’s like 10 mins away. Solid drinks at a nice price point.

Wish I'd spent more time in the Bay Area after living 25 years down in San Diego, but got out of that crumbling state in July and wouldn't step foot in San Francisco circa 2024 if they were handing out free money and meals ... oh wait, they are. One of the premier cities in this country destroyed by Newsolini and his horrible leadership.

I'm REALLY surprised you didn't just endorse Marshawns spot... For me Everytime I'm in the bay I GOTTA go check out Rob Ben's. Crazy soul food. Long as y'all like soul food can't go wrong. Nephew are nothing but there while at Berkeley.

I feel like I always end up talking about food here (maybe to alleviate the depression of the last two decades), but this place is one of our favorite restaurants in the country. Can’t miss if you’re in the area. Go Canes.

Ah, I like this.

My boy and myself grew up in Sactown area.
That was 20 years ago from us going into the Bay.

Would love to meet up tonight, or get some ideas flowing for Berkeley area.

We are at an AbnB right near campus. So Berkeley it is. Berkingstocks, granola bars and all that ish.

You in that area right brother? If so I would definitely tell you you should take that trip. Food is legit. Marshawn's aunts run it now. But they use like all his old girls recipes and whatnot. Place is legit. You can thank me later.

Nah, my G. I moved back to the home field of So. Cal after the split w/ the ex.

& I’m honestly? I’m picky af when it comes to Soul Food b/c that’s my speciality. Lol. Family been begging me to open up a food truck or something, but I only have a passion to cook for my ppl’s, not the masses like that.

However, next time I’m up North, I gotta check it out b/c I fcks w/ Marshawn, & if his ppl’s is running it, then imma slide through off strength.

I'm the same. Not many good soul food spots. They're one of the best I had though. You'll enjoy.

Yeah, no cap, that was my biggest gripe while living up there. Wasn’t many good spots, like legit trash. I remember everyone was gassing me on Everett & Jones. I was so ****ed off when I finally had it. Same thing w/ Chez Soul in Fairfield; I was like what is ya’ll talking about?? Lol.

But, I trust u on this. If it wasn’t for my frat’s b-day this Sunday + chapter reunion, I would be up there. I’ll probably make my way back that way early 2025 & check it out.
