This it's time to bring back the game? Have i
the game a week after the State Championships of whichever state finishes last. Or have it played the same weekend as the Alabama vs Mississippi Game and the The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.

Also have the game played in Orlando every year. I'm sure 20000-30000 fans will come out

yep, this used to be THE game. There are so many all star games these days that it is just an after thought.

If there was money to be made from it, it would happen. There are also a lot of players reporting to their schools in the Spring and early summer, rather than August, which used to be the norm. No coach would ever say it, but I don't think they want their recruits playing extra meaningless games either.

According to many "Canes fans", people will only show out for this game if it's held in Charlotte.

truth! I miss that game

I remember seeing this bowling ball of a human named Jamal Lewis just destroy one of our top signees that year Devlin Hamlin (forgot the kids last name, but he went to Carol City). Ran through him and over him i think.

Move it to December and they will.

I don't know about that. The bigger draw would be playing against the best in the nation imo. Also, the state of Ga runs into the 2nd week in December and sometimes the 3rd depending on how the dates fall. That game would be a week or less before Christmas. Maybe it's just me, but as much as I enjoyed that game, I don't think it will ever be the same.

That's right. In '90 we had Dwayne Johnson come in during the summer instead of playing in the Big 33 game. He was selected for the game. Once upon a time, many years before that, Big 33 was the best known game. Pennsylvania would usually play all-stars from another big state like Ohio or Texas. Those states were more prominent back then kind of like Florida and Georgia are today.

I guess we also thought we needed early help at DT and thought Johnson was the answer. The real DT in that class turned out to be Sapp.

There was a time the GA- FL was the greatest. Unreal talent on both sides. Kind of fell off, I guess, when the big national all-star games started around 2000.

A lot of heavy bags to be made.
