Not trying to bring down your thread or the positive vibes here, but you have to look at the teams we played in the first 6 games of 2012 and 2013 as well. I agree our D has improved drastically and if we could put this years team against last years ND and K-State the scores would be drastically different. But we haven't played a big time offense yet and Renner is by far the best QB we have faced all year.

2012
BC
#21 K-State
Bethune-Cookman
G-Tech
NC State
#9 ND

2013
FAU
#12 Florida
Savannah State
USF
G-Tech
UNC

I made no effort to compare the schedules, obviously. Last year's looks tougher though.

A lot of people are blaming coach D for last night, and while I'm not getting into that argument, he wasn't perfect in his game plan, we missed way too many tackles last night. Way too many 2 yard gains became 7. Way too many 2 yard losses became 2 yard gains. That wasn't happening in the first 5 games. Do that against FSU and VT and I don't care what the scheme or defensive play calls are, we won't win. We also didn't seem to have guys flying to the ball, gang tackling like we were earlier in the year, and we looked a step (or 2) slow all night.
