From what iv heard Pickett/Mack/Patterson should get bumps and I’m also curios as to how much each of them actually jump (especially Mack) is there anyone that could be due for a sizeable bump?

Lightfoot has chance to finish as a five star. One service is holding him back and he will get a sizable bump. He was unblockable all week at AA.

JoJo has chance to move up as well, close to getting 5th star. He proved plenty at UAA, his ability to high point might be the best in America. Looked very polished.

I’d also throw Plazz in there, he was a late addition to AA roster & did more than hold his own.

Hayes is due for a drop similar to what Malik Bryant had, a little inconsistent at UAA practice and had a rough game. I’d expect 50 spot drop in composite.

**McConathy should be a top 250 player but it won’t happen**

JoJo gon move back up bc of how he performed in the UA PRACTISES

Regarding Hayes, what does the inconsistent UAA practice and rough game say about him as a prospect going forward? Same question with Malik Bryant. Are these UAA events good barometers in terms of predicting how talent will translate to this level? Get @Lance Roffers in here! I would love to hear his opinion on this! I know it can't be an exact correlation but there must be something to it.

Enough data out there to show you it could go either way. It’s just that AA games are knee jerk reactions for final rankings, sometimes it’s the first time scouts have seen kids live. Also the last thing they’ve seen from kids this year, that “what have you done for me lately”.

In the game Hayes didn't have a rough game at all, he was constantly around the ball, just didn't make any splash type plays. And those practices are skewed against linebackers since they don't really hit.

Pickett is the main one who should absolutely have jumped in the rankings. Or just throw out post-All star game re-evaluation rankings then IMO. Just tell folks All Star games dont count in final rankings. That kid was a monster. If you didnt know any better..you absolutely would have thought he was a 5* kid.

- Mack should make biggest jump of any. Somewhere in the 200-250 range.

- Expect Pickett to move into the top 150.

- There’s a path in which Lightfoot gets his 5th star and Blount loses his (due to age & not being able to showcase in AA game)

-Zaquan got an outside chance at a 5th star too, OnCrack got him ranked 231st (LOL). If they move him up 75 spots (still too low) he could be somewhere in the 30-40 range.

Good question. I’ve never researched it.

I’d need data on how players performed in practices and game to get a normal distribution. I could try some nonparametric methods if my sample was too small or I couldn’t get a normal distribution and see what it says.

Not a bad project to think through for future work.

IMO, they are ranking Mack as 492nd Nationally so, if the shoe fits... smh
I’ve watched full games of every 3-star we signed thus far. It was Mack who actually surprised me the most.

My understanding was he was more of a political take to get other recruits etc. That’s not the case at all. That kid was a take if his name was Billy Smith.

Good speed, decent size, flexible hips, can catch. Smart.

I expected it to be McConathy I thought should be much higher, but it was honestly Mack.

I think Patterson could drop slightly. Lightfoot will rise along with the others you mentioned
