Fig remind anybody of DJ Williams?

Was checking out some out old highlights and Fig's body type and explosion remind me a lot of DJ Williams.

Closest we've had to Ray Ray-- Barrow a good comp too... hits much harder nose for the ball, more so than DJ.... this kid is a difference maker.

He's immediately one of our most athletic linebackers.

Gaines, Perryman et al are a little too stout and thick for my liking - great against the run, but it hurts their range. Hopefully Figatron is the type of LB we start recruiting in the future.
 
He doesn't have the size speed combo DJ had, but will crack you in the jaw in an instant. Was impressed with his open field tackling.

Fig is a freshmen who just played his first game wait till this cat is a junior then lets revisit. I think he has the potential to be one of the best ever
 
He doesn't remind me of anyone. But, he's gonna be a real good one. He has a nose for the ball, gets there in a hurry, and wraps people up. I like that.

He made two nice open field tackles.

It's always reassuring when your LBs can do that!
 
DJ Williams was said to be ready for the pros out of high school. There's not a person in college football like that.

Love Fig. He hits people and they go down immediately. We haven't seen much of that lately, but let's not start comparing him to All Times like Mike and DJ. Now if he takes swamp scum qb to the woodshed and makes him cry, then start to statue.
 
Figs just plays aggressive and angry.... looks as if Golden brought it back to the LB's.For whatever reason most of Randy type of lbs didnt have it.(He kinda wanted guys like him, Glen Cook types)....Perryman, EJ, Figs are tough as nail guys that just want to hurt something. Then you have the sideline to sideline guys like Armbrister, Grace, Kirby.

Will need guys like Figs this week...as UF does NOTHING down the field....need someone to light up Burton's ***.....and Driskell.....i swear they will just run the ball 75% of the times mixed in with 5 -10 yd immediate passes.
