Seem like they just didn't just let the WRs catch the ball without getting the hit stick. I have been waiting to see something like that from Rodgers and Highsmith, but they seem to just let the opposing WR/TE catch the balls. This is why we need Deon Bush this week...I hope he is healthy enough to play and fulls strength. I believe Rodgers and HighSmith played in Texas, and may not have that type of aggressive attitude. I hope the offseason work and experience benefits and we have no more of those FSU and VA catches.

FAU was belting everybody in the secondary. That's why Walford's catch was so important and impressive. It was on the heels of Coley's two drops. You could see that Walford was going to be popped. When he held onto it, we no longer seemed fragile.
 
I'd be shocked if bush doesn't play and isn't ready and surprised if he doesn't start.

Highsmith was a QB for most of life. Maybe that's why he isn't as aggressive as he should be. Doubt it has anything to do with them playing in Tx.

Jenkins is the one who got beat deep wasn't he? He is also the only member of the starting secondary that entered the FAU game with a black shirt that no longer has it. So clearly one of our only "real safeties" got outplayed by Rodgers.

Kacy Rodgers is better then Rayshawn Jenkins right now
 
Rewatching the game they jammed the **** out of our WRs. Dorsett especially was almost knocked over completely by a LB or safety a couple times while running his route.

Rodgers has taken a lot of abuse and in some instances justified, but his play in the opener appeared pretty solid. Not out of position and made several sure tackles. Jenkins was another story. Beat once when had to hold on to the receiver for dear life. Also ducked head and whiffed on a 2-3 tackles open field tackles. Let's hope he picks it up.

He took a bad angle - he was in position to make the play though.
