Who here would like to see a faster offensive tempo? Stop the look to the sideline for the call, like in 5 seconds he (Coley) can analyze the defensive alignment and call the perfect play. By increasing the tempo we'll keep the defenses off balance, but more importantly give more touches to our play-makers.

I agree..I was listening to an interview with Randall Hill and he was so ****ed that they did that.

if our d hasnt improved a faster o would just put them on the field more. we would have to win games in a shoot out and hope we dont get stopped on any of our possessions.

How does Oregon look to the sidelines and still play fast? How does Texas Tech? How does Auburn and Texas A&M? It has nothing to do with looking to the sidelines.

Coley needs to show he can handle TOP before he starts handing out 20 second 3 and outs.

Makes sense starting Heaps, who was run out of two bad programs because they wanted a faster tempo offense. We are starting the right QB! :(

Our problem last year was everything was too quick. When we scored, it was a quick score with a big play. Or we went 3 and out. We need to convert more 3rd downs and sustain drives.

I don't think its so much about running a hurry up offense that would make us a better machine - I think it's about dictating and controlling the pace of the game as needed. For instance - if we are playing against a great offense - we are better off keeping our defense off the field and running the ball and the clock. Keep control of time of possession. Like one of the posters said above I think we got in trouble last year with too many 3 and outs and quick scores and our weak spot (defense) was right back on the field again. We have the playmakers on offense to go to battle in a shoot out - I don't think our defense (or at least last years defense) was capable of handling it though.

Point was tempo. How do you feel about speeding up the tempo, not how many teams look to the sideline. Watched the national championship game at least 4 time now and don't recall Auburn slowing down looking to the sideline after getting to the line of scrimmage. Oregon got those play cards so they all have to look for the play. Coley play calling is not to speed tempo so reference to other teams off basis.

Run the f'ing ball down their throats and break their will ....... throw in the the hurry up every once and awhile, especially after turnovers
