Any idea if Tommy Kinsler is hurt? I have not heard anything about him all camp. Thought he would contribute to the rotation this year.

Let me just try to provide some perspective.

From a FAN standpoint, we hear the names of recruits for probably two full years before they ever enroll (or at least ONE full year before enrollment). To the FANS, we may have an accelerated expectation level because we have been "waiting" to hear good news about on-field contributions for so long.

But to the PLAYERS, they are coming straight out of high school in most cases, and have to gain weight, technique, playbook awareness, etc.

So if you don't hear a kid's name right out of the box...there's nothing that is really wrong...just be patient, give it time, and let the players develop as they will.

Then our pass defense better be up to par because if we go up two scores, our opponents running game fades away.
I think this should be our strategy though. We are strongest at pass rush. Hoping for a lot of 38-20 games. 6 can be the closer. No one is going to want that in the 4th quarter if they’ve been chasing our pass catchers around all game

We just need the secondary to nip any deep desperation passes in the bud. Those change momentum.

1. I agree, any update would be nice, he came in and everyone thought he was underrated, last year we were hearing a bunch of glowing and unfounded praise (IMO) and this year nothing which may or may not be a bad thing so the overall question of how is his development I think is a good one but

2. What do you mean contribute to the rotation? As far as I know Mirabel does not like to rotate lineman barring injury. Yes they all cross train and IF he mad a leap to unseat A RS Sr in Rivers at LT or a Junior in Cooper or a RS Senior in Carpenter at C then great, awesome problem to have but it was unlikely. So he was really only going to battle for LG and once again had an older guy in McCoy and a better "prospect" in Samson ahead of him. I imagine his is bouncing around in the 2 deep but I didnt expect him in the rotation this year unless someone gets hurt or perhaps a GL package or something.
