In no way, shape or form has either of these teams defenses helped get them to this championship. You could make the case that Auburns special teams got them to theirs. These teams got there by lining up and outscoring their opponents. And since thats the standard now, since most of you suck off the SEC, **** Morris and Coley for not scoring more points.

Alfred Golden in 3 years has not won an ACC title and got beat out by basketball school Duke for one this year. Alfred Golden was returning 9 starters on D and everyone on offense. Alfred Golden failed to deliver. Corch D fielded two of the worst defenses ever in Miami history and is still coaching.

Gus walked into a STACKED roster and runs an Offense that made Gene Chizik look genius. You like to look at things in black and white and not look at all the variables surrounding situations. Only one such as yourself would yearn to touch the loins of Gus Malzahn while at the same time preaching that we need a better defense. Malzahn is the Mike Dantoni of the NCAA.

He's the biggest SEC slurper on the boards. I was surprised when he was calling you a Nole when the dude would build meat bridges with any person slightly related to the SEC.

Auburns defense is #76 while ours is #75 so Gus isn't working miracles on their D. Of course, when you can score 50+ points who needs to play defense?
but it's not year one for Gus at Auburn. Yes it's his first season as HC, but you know that offense that he is using to win games. Go actually look and see who recruiting and brought most of those guys to AUB even down to the OL. **** is so stupid that people ignore obvious ****. If Aub was winning with defense then this would be a miraculous turn around, but AUB is winning with what Gus built for them before he left and unfortunately for them the OC last year didn't know how to use the pieces like Gus does. No different then Jimbo getting three years to build his offense under Bobby which is what he relied on early on to get FSU better once he became HC.
Like I said in your other thread it's crazy that guys who complain about defense yearn for a coach who gives zero ***** about defense (Look at what he did to Arkie St defense in just one season). You dudes are a trip for real.

Check out both teams season stats for 3rd down conversion rate over 45% and Time of Possession around 30 minutes for both.
