Expectations now and then.

Nobody on here would have expected us to beat k state or ND. We are 4-2 actually have a shot in the ACC, we are still ahead of my expectations. If your expectations were that we would be very good, then ok, but if you know football and history of rebuilding teams, then 4-2 is ahead of what you probably thought before season started.

Go canes! And hope we win. Do whatever it takes.

I expected a difficult year filled with mistakes. We are making mistakes and things are difficult but these kids are fighting and staying in it. These wins may not be **** but we're winning.

I am not a big believer on predicting records but UNC and FSU are the two diffcult games left. UVA, Duke, USF and VT (who will play their best game when they play is) are all winnable and we should be favorites.

This UNC game will set the tone the rest of the way, we win...things will be a lot fun. If we lose, the confidence may be difficult to get back and all progress may be lost.

Sad part is UNC is banned from the post season and VT will likely lose one more in the ACC. I know we're young but can we finish 3-2 in the ACC. Possibly 8-4 overall. I call it success. The goal now is to beat UNC. Just ******* win.

I'll bite, this is a good start if you look at the W/L column only. However, our defense is terrible. Accepting that we were always likely to drop a few games this year, it's still good to see improvement from week to week. Even during games we win, our defense makes no strides in the right direction.

That right there scares me. W/L is all that matters, but in the end, we won't get those W's we want because our Defense isn't progressing.

We're running the same guys out there on D week in and week out.. Our d isn't bad because they just lack experience..they also lack talent at key positions.. Talent doesn't get better with time, so we're going to have to be patient until we can get the defensive talent we need.
