Expectations for Miami Basketball...

Top 4 finish in conference. Potential to win ACC tourney or make finals. Sweet 16 season.

But on the flip side a small part of me is worried with all the losses that the team is exactly as good as they were last year. It all hangs on Angel, if he is not scoring 12-15ppg we are in trouble.

I don't think you have to worry there. Coach L develops these players and they get better each year. We saw big improvement in Reed and Jekiri last year and I think both will take another significant jump again this year. Newton and Palmer will also make a big jump. And with Lawrence and a full year of Uceda the front court will be much better than last year. We were starting Joe Thomas early on. The loss of Sherman hurts our front court depth but we'll be ok. Losing Burnett will hurt our explosion but he also lost games for us last year. In the end, this team will be a top 15 team in the country and hopefully will get some breaks for a nice tourney run.

I think a 12-6 conference record is about right. That's a 2 game improvement from last season in league. I think we can be a 3-4 seed in the tourney, and then it would matter the matchups.

ACC is very deep this year, even more so than when we had our run in 13 because you now have Cuse, Lville and Pitt.
That said we should finish in the top half of the league with 11-13 ACC wins and punch our ticket to the dance.
Not unreasonable to think we can finish with 3-4 more wins vs. last year (regular season) and make some noise in the NCAA tourney.
