not a surprise after he didn't get a Miami offer. I'm happy for him, he will do well there

Yeah, good for him. I also take this to mean the staff is pretty confident we get a couple of the kids we are after at WR.

Good school

You know, I always thought that it was a great school....but they are ranked 62nd. I had always assumed it was a top 25 school.

Yeah but a lot of those schools on those lists aren't large public colleges where high level D1 football is played. Most of the Big 10 schools are solid academically.

Good pickup for Purdue and good spot for the kid, nice fit.

I just think it means we are only going after 1 or 2 WRs, if we strike out and only bring back AJL its not a big deal. I only see 1 new WR in this class tops.

He de-commited 17 hrs after he commited, Coach said he needs to visit first

Lulz.. kid probably made a rash decision after hearing Miami would not be offering and his coach is trying make him have a thought out decision. Good one for the coach.

It could be that. But these are also 16/17/18 year old kids. Many of whom who have been adored and adulated ever since it became clear they had a talent for athletics. They want to be liked, which is why they tell people what they want to hear when it comes to coaches or interviews for recruiting websites. The coach probably leaned on him to commit and he felt like he had to.
