They basically were defending Muschamp. It was only "400 bucks" they wanted us to get the death penalty over a steak dinner and lap dance:mad:.:espnsux:

I saw the piece. Not how I perceived it. They were tough on AU and made Muschamp a big part of the story. UF logo was even a big part of it.

This.

LOLZ at them assuming this was an isolated event.

Also LOLZ at them assuming Muschamp didn't influence someone in the academic department to change McNeil's grade so he can play. I mean, he was only their star LB and leader of the defense.

Good lord some of you guys have a complex. They are going off of a report done by someone else where the amount listed was $400 that Muschamp offered.

Also, I am not sure what you are referencing from ESPN, but on their front page they also say:

"Blanc and Mike McNeil, another former Auburn player, told Roberts the money amounts reached "several thousand dollars."" and "Thorpe also told Roberts the coaching staff far exceeded its NCAA-allotted per diem for entertaining recruits. Thorpe said coaches gave players $500 to entertain current Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, even though the NCAA reportedly limits expenses to less than $50 per day."

And where is the 'only 400 bucks' quote coming from?

Star LB and leader of the defense?

Read the whole story....Muschamp gave a dude $400 because he looked like he was having a bad day

Allegedly

That's what I got from the article. Maybe not star LB, but the quotes I read from other players made him seem like a father-figure type leader who studied film and playbooks with younger players.

Can someone point me to what article we are referencing as the only ones I can find on ESPN mention more than just the $400 and are reporting on the report that came out; not adding commentary on whether they think this was all that happened or there was more.

What people seem to be forgetting here is that people didnt have to speculate about what else might have happened b/c Shapiro and yahoo accused us of so much stuff. Also, this story broke last night; surely there will be commentary that speculates on whether this really happened and if it was isolated.
