Adam rittenberg wrote an article that was just posted on espn.com. Talks about coaches sharing ideas with other coaches and networking with them. Would post it but idk what the rules are on copying links and stuff. It's a good read

Every winter and spring, college football coaches gather for games of show-and-tell.

Their goal: to share ideas.

Coaches are maniacally competitive, but they're also content collectors. And while they're in a big-money, high-stakes profession in which one man's success is directly tied to another man's failure, many are willing to help one another, as long as certain protocols are met and the circumstances are right.

"It's professional development," Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said. "I don't think you see guys at Fortune 500 companies trade ideas all the time, where in our profession -- football, basketball, other sports -- coaches talk a lot to try to keep learning and getting better every year."

All coaches go to coaching clinics to learn the latest techniques and schemes.

I would hope all of our coaches are trying to expand their knowledge.

I would hope that as well. After reading that article and what Northwestern's coaching staff did after their terrible year on offense and what our coaches did after our terrible years of defense I'm not optimistic.

Hey, maybe Al could offer all the other coaches free trips to come down and learn our defense. Then a couple years later, everyone's defense will suck and we will not rank so low.
