I was looking at the rankings and I have a question. Why is it that all the other elite kids that are committed to their schools are still enjoying the process while our elite targets don’t commit to us because “I just want to enjoy the process”?
Haselwood was enjoying the process and came to paradise. Other kids committed to schools are taking visits and doing the same.
Last year most of our top targets were committed and they visited schools and enjoyed the process. Bogle and now Neal are starting to feal like they ain’t coming. Ryque sounding like he sleeps in UGa pj’s.
I mean look at Chaney jr. The ammount of attention we’ve given this kid is exactly what you would want to see from our staff.
But he stops saying we lead cause he wants to “enjoy the process”. I mean I’m not asking for a commitment from a “21 kid. But what in the world would stop him from enjoying the recruiting process by naming us his leader?
I know this time Last year bama was ranked way low cause they didn’t have a lot of commits. But this year they ain’t playing that game and are neck and neck with uga.
I’m not worried about finishing top 5 or anything. I just would like at least a few of our 5 star targets like Neal to commit and set the tone for this class.
We keep making excuses for these kids while not seeing the writing on the wall.
The other excuse is that the kids are waiting to see how our season turns out. Well what exactly does that mean. Are they waiting for us to make the playoffs? What if we lose to FSU win every game but not make the acc championship?
What if we kill FSU but lose 2 games.
Is Neal waiting for bama not to make the playoffs? Is he really not going to go to bama If they lose to auburn again?
I applaud the staff for going after the kids that seem to have high upside. We lose a lot of kids that ball because no one takes the time to properly evaluate them. But it’s starting to look like we’re doing it cause we have to and not because we want to.
I still feel like we have an awesome class and the staff is working hard to get the remaining kids. But we have to start calling BS when we see it.
