Who cares. Collins is ten times the back clements is and it isn't close. Al Golden failed.

Let's hope he doesn't fail us w matthew thomas as well, or I have to wonder if he is the guy for the job.

Are u kidding me? Name me one person better than AG that would come here. We have the RIGHT man in place and we should all hope he stays and sees this resurrection thru to its inevitable end.

Any word on OT's injury now that he will seemingly have a large role next year?

I hope he is recuperating. I thought he showed some good moves/potential in 2011 but his role diminished when Duke arrived and then he got injured. Looks like it will be Clements, potentially Crawford and Dillard backing up Duke. We just have to keep Duke rested and pray he does not get hurt....

Wow, some posters are ridiculous...or on the rag. Golden "failed" because he couldn't convince a kid that his desire to be the sole workhorse back (and get all the glory), and who was being pushed to do so by his high school coach who he lives with, that he should come share carries with our star running back? Bottom line is Collins wants to the "the man" on the team. That was his priority, that's what he went with. Best of luck to him. Golden can't do much more.

What makes Alex Collins 10x the back Clements is? Because he had a better HS highlight tape? When we got Clements years ago he turned down UGA who has been pumping out top RB like they grown on trees. If he was good enough for Mark Richt, I think if healthy he should do just fine. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT FACT OF ALL: O.T. IS A CANE and I'll take a kid who bleeds orange and green any day over a kid who thinks "all colleges are the same".

What OT lacks in size/speed he makes up for with passion and toughness. At the very least he should continue to be a special teams ace and a 3rd down back.

The guy who really has a chance to contribute is Dillard. Big, strong guy that comes in and wears defenses out, kinda like Lendale White at USC.

Dillard could be a LenDale White type back, not the same production from I will take him on the goaline everytime.OT is a great presence in the locker room,in the weight room,he is still getting his cutting, and speed back.

I hate fake *** Cane fans man,we should love all our players & be more positive. We have the most negative fan base in the country, trust me I look at a lot of team's board and we suck, get your minds right and stop worrying about guys that aren't here and start worrying about guys that are working their asses off for us.

This notion that a certain amount of stars make a player inherently better than someone who is in the program is so short-sighted that it makes my head spin. Five stars don't always cut it. Injuries happen. Clements has done nothing but what he's been asked to do and he's about to be given a chance to shine. Who says he doesn't turn into a key contributor? Who's to say that Collins 100% beats out Clements anyway? Give the kid the chance if he earns it this off-season

I think you could say that Collins is a much better PROSPECT at RB than Clements was as a PROSPECT. there are no holes in AC's game and he has very good top end speed and the body to be quite a bit bigger than Clements

many had questions about Clements lack of production in HS

Not an insider by any means but I am on campus 5-days a week minimum and as of last week OT was in a full mobilizing neck brace. Same one he has been in since the Fall of last year. Does not look good for OT's return. What makes me believe his injury is extremely serious is the other teammates completely glossing over him and hailing Crawford as the #2 once the Collins announcement broke yesterday.

I saw OT show some flashes in '11. What put him in a neck brace? And can anyone confirm this injury?
