Do we make a move on this kid?

Bama just offered. Wants to play CB. We could use one. Very tight with Coley.

I'm a fan. Dont really need another receiver or corner but he's a very good player and the Coley angle is massive.

With the hire of Mario, if we offered Eddie Jackson then Coley would be a lock. Depends on what Rashard Robinson does

Supposedly his grades are terrible, and he's gonna have to go to prep/JUCO.

Correct: kid could not play for 2 years until he got his grades up. Also, that is at Boyd Anderson where academics are a problem to begin with. I do not have any detailed personal information but from what is public, I would guess that kid will not qualified at Miami and other schools are praying he gets his core together. I also seriously question any passing grade on ACT based on his academic history. IMO, this kid is Prep all the way. Boyd Anderson has a history of kids not qualifying and that is with kids playing 4 years and not this kid who was forced to sit out for 2 straight years.

There is no way we can destroy FSU on here for offering this kid, and then try and do the same thing. I think if anyone is trying to package deal in SoFla it's going to bite them in the a$$, al la our MNW deal. Al won't lower his standards, he's just going to show why he's better than everyone else.

I wouldn't mind taking a second look at the kid once he gets through JUCO.

Here is the thang...

These kids remember who recruited them coming out of HS.

A lot of these SEC teams recruit these kids, knowing they won't qualify, but they do so, so after a prep or JUCO stay, they re-recruit them and they sign...

This is true. That's why you see a lot of stud Juco players going to schools like Ole Miss, Kansas, and K-State. Not to mention that those states have some of the best juco football in the country..

I'd rather offer Mackenro Alexander and then get both the twins. DB is much more important right now then WR.

Ole Miss tend to use other methods, methods that their conference rivals are familiar with, to attract the jucos.

I would take Eddie Jackson in a heart beat, with or without Coley. Kid´s a stud. TBH, I wouldn´t be too surprised if we see Coley tagging along the Eddie-Jackson-ride in a few years time.

i'd take Jackson...he's a likely prep...it wont hurt...wont mess with numbers...kid can go down to FUMA an be a recruit for next yr...hes an athlete i think he can play db also.

Jackson isn't going prep. The rumors of him having grade issues are reported false so he's good.

He never played a HS game before this year due to grades/attendance. Obviously hes turning things around but to flat out say prep isnt a possibility is inaccurate. Prep might not even end up being an option. Obviously Saban and all these other great coaches are offering him so you have to think he will make it, but he has had to fight through a lot of things in the past.
