I prefer a non mobile that is accurate as long as there is a good O-line in front of him. Most mobile qbs tend to throw high or abandon their progression for their feet which drives me insane!

He should pull a Stidham and sit out 2018 and then go to a school that guarantees him the job in 2019. If he goes P5 in 2018, he runs the risk of going somewhere where a young guy excels in 2018 and then Eason is stuck behind another underclassman starter.

P.S. Keep in mind that Smart was the same guy who cried to the media about Sabag blocking that DB Smith from transferring to UGA last year.

It’s got nothing to do with stacking chips. I’d take Eason in a heartbeat. Problem is Eason isn’t going anywhere where he might have to compete for the job when he’s eligible to play in 2019.

There’s too many young talented QBs here for him to want to take the chance of coming here and then having to battle Perry or Weldon or Williams coming off a year as the starter in 2018. There’s a chance none of those 3 will put a stranglehold on the job in 2018, but it’s not a chance Eason will want to take.

This is 100% right. I'd take him in second, as well. But from everything I've heard & read about him, there's no way he would risk coming here if he isn't guaranteed the job.
