Really impressed with his blocking on offense and special teams. The weight loss has been huge for him. He can fill a Richard Gordon-type role if he keeps progressing.

I thought all the tight ends did a pretty solid job of run blocking. If they're not going to be a threat in the pass game, at least they pulled their weight on the ground.

Agree w/d$ that Dye looks a lot more fit, and does not seem to have lost any strength at the point. ****, he even looked OK running. Even though it'd be nice to get more production from the TE spot, I'm happy enough with what we got, and would expect for them to get more involved in the passing game going forward.

I wish he could fill a role at DE :( :( :(

It's the same as with Gordon-- as beastly as he is physically, it just never clicked on defense.

This is one of the best things about Golden- he is quick to recognize when something isn't working and will find a role for his athletes. Shannon hurt a few careers by stalling with position changes.

Health problems kept him down. I'm really glad he is getting a chance to contribute, especially with wjatever negatives he must have felt with teammate RRA being dropped.

on dukes second te...it was he and Brandon Linder that did it...Dyer kicked out open it up and Linder pulled...

Dyron Dye is a big time bocker on o....even at the tail end last year he showed it.....kid can catch also.....

finally found his niche and hopefully he stays up all year...**** Richard Gordon is collecting nfl checks off of a similar role

That, and iirc, Flowers absolutely mauled his guy and sealed off the right side.

You just had to do it, didn't you. Seriously though, that's 1000% spot on and one of the biggest upgrades at the HC position.

I would love to see Dye returning kickoffs :nelsonhaha:
