This will be a good win tonight. They tuned up some things. Maybe a little funky in the middle of the first half.

However I will say this. Durand Scott is going to cause us a serious problem somewhere. He has so much potential but just makes bad decisions trying to do too much. It's like you can see him get over excited with the ball. I dunno maybe just me.

Meh. I think he is fine. Dude was a monster against Duke and has bailed us out of a lot of games. I am not worried about him making bad decisions because I think Larkin now knows that he can overcome them.

Hope you're right. It's not the games where we cruise though. It's the tournament games that are close or against smart defensive teams where gets all excited and throws up crazy shots.

Love this kid and he is exactly the type of player you need in the tourney.

Agree. Kid has stones and create. He does 10 good things to one bad. Plus he is a defensive beast, great energy. I will take one or two of the dumb plays because he negates a ton of good plays by the opposing team.

I get where Nikkoum is coming from, I think it stems from when we ask Scott to initiate the offense, he really just seems to try to create for himself in those instances even when there are others open. Larkin has no true backup so his rest will be limited because asking Scott to run the offense bring us to stagnate and limited ball movement.

He hasn't been playing well the past few games and it's definitely a cause for concern. Just seems like he's not in rythm. I personally think he is the most important player on this team though. His play will dictate how far we go in the tourney. The reason why is because he has the ability to be dominant but at the same time has the ability to play reckless. I believe in Scott and think he'll start playing much better come tourney time. He has always played well in the ACC tourney and I think he thrives in tourney style play.

I think his biggest problem right now is that he has been the guy creating for the last 3 years and now all of a sudden Larkin is fully capable of creating for the team. So it's been hard for him to adjust and find his exact role for this team. I see him having a big game against Duke and turning it all around.

THIS

Thats what i was trying to say. I guess its like a distrust thing. He is used to having to do it himself and he needs to understand how valuable certain possessions are. When he goes sort of off the reservation and gets to crazy it seems to be at times where it can put miami in some trouble. I would love to see him drive and dish more or turn and come back out. Vary his pace. I think defenders have kid of gotten the idea that when he starts that run hes not stopping until he gets to the basket.

I agree. This too me this is a big advantage for him. He used to be the only option, not the opposing D can't focus on him. He is a natural SG so he doesn't have to (or as much) dribble the ball up the court. It would be great if he could adjust ASAP.

I cringe every time he takes a 3

While we're on the subject of things players should never do...

Reggie shoot a 3
Gamble dribble
TMJ, anything besides catch and shoot
Kadji give the ref any opportunity to call a charge

His defense has been underrated as **** this year. Pretty sure he's taken on the other teams best player each game this year.

I agree. He is an A+ defender. He could contain any guard in the league with his tenacity, lenght, and quickness. I also think that when we need a steal late in a game, he eleveates his defense to an even more intense level where he can overwhelm a capable ballhandler and take the ball from them.

Eh, he can be reckless but he creates opportunities by driving and can get to the line when he wants. The one main problem I have with him is he seems to over dribble in some possessions.

In SOME ways, he reminds me of a young Wade. Especially on defense.

With the good comes the bad.. That being said, I like him matching up with Curry. Quick, physical, and tenacious.
